Nintendo of Europe announced that there will be a demo available for Nintendo 3DS title Bravely Second: End Layer ahead of its release in the region. The demo will be available to download for free on February 11, 2016, with the full game to be released in Europe on February 26, 2016 both physically and digitally. A North American release date has yet not been fully confirmed, but is expected in spring 2016.
Bravely Second takes place a few years after the events of Bravely Default, when the latter game's heroine Agnés Oblige is kidnapped by Kaiser Oblivion. Her bodyguard, Yew Geneolgia, resolves to rescue along with Magnolia Arch, with help from returning heroes Edea Lee and Tiz Arrior. The demo acts as a prelude to the game, and focuses on the Three Cavaliers: Yew Geneolgia, Janne Angard, and Nikolai Nikolanikov. Players can unlock rewards in the full game based on their progress in the demo.
Building on the battle system of Bravely Default, Bravely Second features turn-based combat where players can use multiple actions in a single turn at the potential cost of being unable to act in the next turn. There are thirty character classes for players to unlocked in the game, including the new Patissier and Catmancer jobs. Bravely Second also adds in a new feature where winning a battle in a single turn grants the opportunity to leap straight into a new, more difficult battle where they can earn greater rewards.
