News of Square Enix's 3D remake of Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden making the jump to Western markets has finally surfaced. Titled Adventures of Mana (as opposed to Final Fantasy Adventure and Mystic Quest, the original North American and European ports, respectively), the game is expected to release sometime in 2016, and has been confirmed for iOS and Android platforms. The PlayStation Vita version previously announced for Japan has not been included in the release details as of yet.
A spin-off of the Final Fantasy franchise, Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden is the first game in what later became the separate Mana series. Its gameplay has been closely compared to that of the original Legend of Zelda. For the meantime, Square Enix's official website for the game is still in the process of updating periodically with new info as its release inches closer.
