Obsidian Entertainment's latest game, Pillars of Eternity, is now available on PC, Mac, and Linux. The game, which was originally funded on Kickstarter before Paradox Interactive took publishing duties, can be purchased from a number of digital stores, with the base game priced at $44.99/£34.99/€41.99.
Those interested in the title can also buy two special digital editions. The Champion Edition costs $59.99/£44.99/€54.99 and also includes downloads of a campaign almanac, a high-resolution game map, the original soundtrack, a "making of" documentary, wallpapers, and ringtones. The Royal Edition is priced at $89.99/£67.99/€82.99, and includes the contents of the Champion Edition plus a digital novella written by Chris Avellone, a collector's book PDF, digital strategy guide, and some high-resolution concept art.
Pillars of Eternity is heavily inspired by fantasy tabletop role-playing games, and other titles based on them such as Baldur's Gate. A launch trailer for the game can be viewed below.
