Koei Temco's upcoming demon-slaying title for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita, Toukiden Kiwami, will receive a demo before release. The demo will be released on March 24, 2015 in North America and a day later in Europe, a short time ahead of the game's full launch, which occurs on March 31, 2015 in North America and March 27, 2015 in Europe.
Toukiden Kiwami's demo will feature two different modes. The first one consists of the first two chapters of the full game, with palyers able to create their own Slayer character. The second mode is designed for players of the original Toukiden: The Age of Demons release on Vita. This mode feature a number of high-difficulty challenge missions, including appearances from some of the new enemy Oni in the game. Those who clear all of the challenge missions will earn a sneak preview of chapter eight of the game, which is where the new content in Toukiden Kiwami picks up.
In addition to the demo news, Koei Tecmo also released some new screenshots of the game, as well as a comparison video showing the differences between the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita versions, which can be viewed below. Players of Toukiden: The Age of Demons will be able to carry their save files over to both versions of the game by following the instructions.
