Months after the official announcement that The Witcher 2: The Assassins of Kings would be coming to Xbox 360, CD Projekt RED has finally shed some light on the details surround that release. The game will hit stores on April 17, 2012 and will be published in North America by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment. This release will be an Enhanced Edition spanning two DVDs with three hours of new content. It will also come packed with an audio CD, a quest handbook, and a world map. There will also be a limited Dark Edition that includes all the previous content along with a making-of DVD, stickers, a Witcher medallion, and an artbook all packed into a thick cardboard Dark Edition box. CD Projekt RED also confirmed Xbox Live avatar items and other bonuses that will be available from different retailers.
For those who bought the PC version, the Enhanced Edition will be available to them at no extra charge on the same day the 360 version releases. To entice PC gamers to jump on board now, GOG.com is selling the current version of The Witcher 2 at a temporary 15% discount.
