Square Enix and Nintendo of America are teaming up to release Dragon Quest IX: Sentinels of the Starry Skies on the DS in North America. This RPG was a huge hit in Japan, selling over four million copies. Now Nintendo is taking over the publishing responsibilities for the game's North American release in summer 2010.

This is not a new move for the pair, as Nintendo of America helped publish other Game Boy Advance Final Fantasy games earlier in the decade. Square Enix is still scheduled to release the upcoming DS title Dragon Quest VI: Realms of Reverie, but has yet to announce a release date.
