Square Enix has announced that Musashi Samurai Legend will be shipped to stores in North America on March 15. Previously, this title was only scheduled for a Spring 2005 release. Samurai Legend will be rated "T" for Teen by the ESRB and will have an MSRP of $39.99. Musashi also received his own teaser website, found here, which currently only holds a splash page featuring Musashi himself.
Square Enix also announced that they will be releasing Musashi Mobile Samurai, a completely new adventure for Musashi, simultaneously with Samurai Legend. Currently, this title has received no ESRB rating nor has it received a pricepoint.
"We hope fans will enjoy the great graphics, action and storyline in these games," said Ichiro Otobe, president and COO of Square Enix, Inc. "Our North American fans are really important to the company, and we wanted to show our appreciation by trying a different business approach. With Musashi, we are releasing a title in the United States before Japan for the first time. And, with the concurrent release of the mobile game, our U.S. fans will be able to play anytime, anywhere."
On the Japanese side of Square Enix, they updated the Japanese site for Musashiden II: Blademaster which previously only held a splash page containing Musashi. While most of the info on this site has already been covered by RPGamer, there are five movies located in the link to the far right of this site which show the game in motion. The first link has three movies showing off the basic action for Musashi, while the second link has two movies showing off Musashi's sword action.
Currently, this title has only been announced for release in Japan at some point in 2005 while this title has yet to be announced for European release. Stay tuned to RPGamer for more details on these titles as its announced.
