Nintendo Announces New Pokémon Game for GameCube

Pokémon fans rejoice! Nintendo has announced a new game in the popular series to be released on the GameCube. Scheduled for release this coming summer in Japan, it will cost ¥4,800 (approximately $40)

While retailing less than the average new GameCube release, this particular incarnation of Pokémon will require Pokémon Ruby / Sapphire and a Nintendo GameCube Gameboy Advance Cable. Whether this new Pokémon game will be made along the lines of Pokémon Stadium is currently unknown, but certainly possible with the handheld version being a requirement.
