The much-anticipated third entry in the Suikoden series will not be coming to stores quite as soon as expected. Konami announced recently that the game, which was previously set for Japanese release in March 2002, will now be coming out there in June of this year. With word that the game was on track for its previous release date as recently as a week ago, it comes as something of a surprise that this title has been pushed back. Nevertheless, Konami has remained tight-lipped as to reasons for the delay.
Suikoden III is the series' first entry on the PlayStation 2 and will make the jump into full 3-D. While a North American localization has been confirmed, there is no word on when it will take place.
