Sony has long been touting its forthcoming broadband network, but up until now there has been very little evidence for why we should all give a hoot. That changed today when the company held a press conference and announced a list of upcoming online games. Twenty-six titles from fourteen companies were announced, several of which should be of interest to RPGamers. Here are the relevant titles, listed by publisher.
Atlus: MMORPG (untitled)
Sony Computer Entertainment: Arc the Lad Online (working title)
Square: Final Fantasy XI
In addition, some more concrete Japanese release details have been made public for a couple of offline titles. Sony's Arc the Lad: Seirei no Tasogare is slated to arrive in the Fall, as is Namco's next installment in the Tales series, tentatively titled Tales of Destiny 2, not to be confused with Tales of Destiny 2, which was called Tales of Eternia in Japan.
