Final Fantasy VIII to Use Protection

    Square has announced that Final Fantasy VIII will use Sony's newest anti-piracy, anti-import protection, in order to prevent North American and European PlayStations from running the game. However, several Asian companies have already developed chips that bypass the new lock-out, and some of the older chips were apparently not affected by the new software.
