Yup, it's still me. To my haters, my apologies, for I shall remain with Sound Test for a bit longer.
So recently I've been officially added to a hospital's roster of physicians-on-duty, though I've been wokring there for about a couple of months already. It turns out getting an official paycheck means I'll be getting less than what I was receiving when I was in "reliever" status. It was a WTF moment, really.
Speaking of the relatively recently employed, our sound sample today comes from Garrett "GDawgTUK" Lindquist. I have to say, his composition style really complements mine. Where I explore forms and structures from centuries past, he dabbles in the most modern of styles and sounds. I particularly like the echo-like effect achieved in the fragment from 0:13 to 0:26 and a similar passage from 0:50 to 1:03. I have to admit, though, that I found the segment just past the two-minute mark a bit... excessive and distracting. Nevertheless, it's a fantastically constructed piece. Garrett's attention to details is almost palpable in this remix. Download it now, folks, and be blown away.
The next update shall mark my third year as curator, so expect something special. Until then! Have a great weekend!
