Compilation of hints from Sega's website: When Edge and the dragon are fighting, be sure to monitor their Hit Points (HP) and Berserk Points (BP) as they decrease. Be ready to use an Elixir or Berserk power-up or cast a healing spell to restore them when necessary. Try to have at least one of each type of healing remedy in your inventory. Donât forget to keep enough Berserk Recovery items, such as Berserk Micro, Berserk Minor or Berserk Maxis, in your inventory to restore your characterâs BP when it starts to get low. Speak to all of the people in the caravan, the town and at your campsite to receive valuable information. They will usually tell you where you need to go or what you need to accomplish next. While stopping at the caravan, always speak to the Nomad leader, Anâjou, for information. While in the town of Zoah talk to Juba, the barkeeper, or Paet, the mechanic. Abner, the gatekeeper, is helpful to talk with because he gives you directions to specific places in the town. He can be found at his post outside the gate leading to the Holy District. Pay close attention to an enemyâs attack patterns and timing when you first encounter a new type of opponent. Knowing when an enemy will most likely attack or how long it takes to recharge its weapon gives you an excellent advantage over your opponent. Try to move to the safe sectors (the green areas shown on the Dragon Radar display) just as an enemy is about to attack. This allows you to stay in the area where you probably wonât get hit. When in battle, use the Berserk Defense spells "Vengeance Orbs" or "Shield" to protect your dragon against enemy attacks. The Vengeance Orbs are especially good to use, because they deflect an enemyâs attack and turn it into a counterattack. Constantly monitor your Dragon Radar display, because the color of the display screen will change when there is danger in your immediate area. The colors will shift from blue (in relatively safe areas), to yellow (in areas where the danger of an attack increases), and red (when an attack is imminent). The homing laser is very effective when youâre confronted by a large number of enemies, because it can track and lock onto more than one enemy at a time, while the gun is great for zeroing in on one enemyâs Weak Point. Make sure you know what each weapon does and how effective it is against a specific enemy or on a large area of an enemyâs body before you rely on it in an important battle.
