Singapore Okay!This is my first FAQs.I live in Singapore and i have always loved Squaresoft games from the days of NES to PS.Someone asked me why i didn't wrote the Faq for Zelda,since zelda was a more popular/better action-RPG than Brave Fencer Musashi.Sure enough,with such popular game,many would be waiting to write an FAq for zelda.In terms of graphics and gameplay,zelda is the sure winner;being developed for nearly 3 years.However,Squaresoft is my favourite game developer and i hope the first FAq i wrote to be a Squaresoft game.At first,i didn't want to write any FAQ until I saw Henry Chan wrote that Tactics Orge FAq,that led me to this idea.I have been playing so many games,with my first system being Nintendo when i was 7.Nes and Super NES were probably my favourite systems of all time.It would be a good time to share some of my knowledge with others.I know I may not be a expert gaming writer but at least i'll not that bad,huh?Come on!Show me some support.Sure enough,I finished both Xenogears and Brave Fencer but why did i choose Brave Fencer.First,Xenogears is longer with over 60hours gameplay and that means more time to write out the walkthrough.I didn't have that much time.Second, it has got really some real-elements like fusion,clock,action figure that made me so attracted to it which zelda doesn't has.Thirdly,all the other FAQ for Brave Fencer Musashiden was based on the Japanese version.Since i bought the English version,then why don't I make an FAQ based on it?Besides,there has been quite a lot of Xenogears FAq based on the English version.Four, everyone has been thinking of Zelda,being most anticipated game of all time and the greatest game ever made in this decade.And Brave Fencer Musashiden has become a sleeper hit,with all attention focusing on Zelda.Of course, given both games,i would rather play zelda but Brave Fencer Musashiden is a decent cool game and I felt that all SquareSoft games are a hit and should not be ignored by the everyone.I felt it was my duty being a squaresoft fan, to tell more about this game.I began on this FAQ like a project to me and challenging too although it's not related to school work.I spent a lot of time writing out the walkthrough,bestiary and have spent more than what i have estimated.Up to now,i have been updating this FAq for over two long weeks without resting and everything that you need to know,you will find here.As long as it help you,then i have achieved my aim.I hope everyone will give me your support.It would be great if this FAQs really helps someone and saves them a lot of time.Squaresoft games are meant to be experienced yourself to avoid ruining the thrill of discovery and exploring.Of course,i can't stress that you use this FAq when you are stuck.After all,the real enjoyment is to explore and discover new things on your own.I suggest you read the basics tips,advanced tactics,boss fighting method and avoid using the walkthrough too much.This FAQs is based on the US version of Brave Fencer Mushashiden so all the japanese name has been translated to the English name with detailed story and should make you easier to read.I have gone through very detailed from rescuing people,techniques,legendary armor, action figures,walkthrough and even ways of beating the boss.If you have another way or additional info on the game,pls do not hesitate to e-mail me.Credits will be given to the first one who give the tips.I hope you will enjoy it.Anyway,this guide will have everything to help you master the game,including 13 minkus,35 bincho field and tons of secret.Plus i have listed down treasures,foods,assimilated abilities and a bestiary that contains most of the common enemies with strategies of how you should do. Next update Probably,this could be the final update of this FAqs.I have gone through everything very detailed including strategies to defeat bosses, and a list of 13 minkus,35 palace members,plus all the secrets and bestiary and common assimilated abilities that you can learn.I have already got those japanese names for some characters and i hope someone could give me those that I miss out.For example,in the japanese version,lumina was called raygund. ____________________________________________________________________________ Review I think square has created a worthy action-RPG to applease all zelda fans, especially to those who don't own N64.(thanks god,i got N64)Top-selling quality RPG games like Xenogears,Final fantasy7,saga frontier,final fantasy tactics,square has created a new awesome action-RPG game,Brave Fencer.In fact,Square is the king of RPG developer and has dominated all the RPGs industry.It's has proven that they can do RPGs very well and now their recent Non-RPG,Tobal no2 and Bushido Blade 2 are really impressive.And now,Square has merged with Electronic Art to from Square Electronic Art, SquareEA which will publish all Squaresoft games in United states,furthur establishing Square as the market leader of RPG in Japan and US.This seems to be a good news to everyone and already games like Xenogears,Bushido Blades 2,Parasite Eve and even Brave Fencer Musashiden were published by SquareEA.it's likely that the US version of Final Fantasy 8 will also be published by SquareEA.With many good quality games from square,it's a good bet this would be another great gem from Square,especially from my favourite developer.Back to the main topic.The storyline is beautifully written, revolving a young hero,Musashi and the Allucaneet Kingdom,call upon to collect the five scrolls and save the princess and the kingdom.The graphics are really awesome,smooth with an ever-changing polygonal colorful,bright enviroment even though they are not as glorious as zelda.Everything is rendered in textured polygons and Gouraud shaded.The enviroment changes to morning,afternoon,evening and night as time passes.Due to the 24-hour clock ,the lightening effects can be a visual.However,there is one problem with the polygonal graphics.There are too many polygonal pop-up and tearing,which could sometimes be annoying but still doesn't affect the gameplay.Zelda doesn't have too much of that but polygon pop-up can be forgiveable as the Playstation is quite capable of that.After all,the Playstation has flaws too.The voice actors has done very done.Remember,zelda doesn't have voice actor.The game packs quite an enormous amount of voice-overs and the result is humor,that's the best.Some of the dialogues are really humorous and they sure have done very well.All i could say is that the voice is really good.At first glance,in chapter 1,it plays similar to Crash Bandicoot,except your hero now is a two-sworded Fencer,Musashi,not Crash and the voice really looks childish and thought that this game is for Kid,however it isn't.As you proceed to new Chapter,it gets more and more difficult,with plenty of jumps and puzzles to solve.The voice and dialogue may seem childish to you and as i mention above,the result is humor and that's what Zelda is lacking of.The game is very challenging and at the same time,deliver 'humor' to the game ,which can be enjoyed by all ages.Well done,Square!The level design is simply well done,with many hidden paths.The musics are good,even though there wasn't as many,compared to Xenogears and Final Fantasy 7,furthur establishing Square capablities of having orchestra good music.You know when you played games like Xenogears,Final Fantasy 7 and even the intro music theme of the FF8 really looks great.Plus,the music in Brave Fencer is fully orchestra.The ending song are surely the best in this game.Effects like raining,day-changing are really a cool-visual.Sound effect are up to Squaresoft's quality.You can hear the clanking of sword fighting,running water,birds chirping in the morning and swear that it sounds like real.After all,the PlayStation has a very advanced sound chip and is quite capable of that.Here comes the gameplay.The duel shock controller adds vibration to the game,furthur adds more in-depth experience to the game,provided you have a duel shock controller.The gameplay is a lot different from Zelda and Square doesn't want to copy the direct gameplay from zelda (remember,alundra). Alundra is a good game but too direct gameplay to a link to the past,except a change of storyline with more bigger maps.I prefer a link to the past compared to Alundra.Brave Fencer Musashiden really reminds me of how awesome a Link to the Past look during the 16-bit SNES.I am glad to say that it has lived up to expectations.Not only the graphics are better than a link to the past,it in fact offers more varied gameplay,more action than the Link and a better storyline than link to the past.The different is that Link can make use of tools like arrows,hammer he find to help him in his quest and in Musashi,he has to assimilate ability from enemy to help him in his quest. Even like in link finding hearts to increase max HP are now replaced by finding Minkus and Bincho Fields that are scattered throughout the game in Musashi to increase HP and BP,making more challenging gameplay.In link to the past,you temper your sword to increase sword level,gain new ability but in Musashi,you can attach scrolls to your Lumina sword to learn 5 different elemental attacks and even learn 6 sword techniques to help you in your quest.Great Job.If Zelda:Ocarina of Time is the best 3-D action-RPG in the 64-bit game,then Brave Fencer Musashiden is the best 32-bit action-RPG, ranking slighly above Zelda:A link to the past and truly the best in the 32-bit game,much more better than Working Design's Alundra.I am not biased because SquareSoft is my favourite company but the Brave Fencer definitely proves to be a much better game than Alundra and don't forget that Brave Fencer is the first action-RPG made by Square.Of course,one can argue that the efforts and time spent to create Zelda that took nearly three years in development and represent the next-generation 3-D games.Sure enough,Brave Fencer Musashiden has some weak points like polygon pop-up but the gameplay is definitely as good as Zelda 64.On the other hand,it does really have some cool elements that can really rival against Zelda in some ways.Square has introduced several gameplay that probably zelda should take note.The Fusion steal-enemy technique,the action figures collection,saving people,riding a raft,being chased down by a huge head are all welcome additions that adds to the gameplay.As during the adventure,Musashi gets to run,jumps,fights,solves puzzles and challenge fearsome monsters in the game or use the game's unique assimilate system to master enemy's techniques.Also,Square has tried several ways to make the game fights different from Zelda by adding a bar gauge,when filled and unleash super powers.There is also a 24-hour clock that keeps track of time.You will noticed that after a certain period of time,the clock on the bottom-right screen will increase by 15 minutes.As time passes,your character will begin to grow tired so you will have to sleep.Whenever you sleep,time will move superfast at about twice the normal speed,i guess.Along the way,you collect legendary armor to learn new abilities,different techniques,five different legendary scrolls that gives you a special attack of that element,defeating the crest guardians.Also,after you have completed the game,you can save again to do all those unfinished business such as collect action figure and rescue people which you have not saved.you will first begin with the fusion sword and later on you will obtain the Lumina sword.The Lumina sword enables you to attach scrolls to it to gain new power whereas fusion sword enables you to assimilate enemy's ability which is by far the best feature of all in this game.There are lots of hidden paths to explore.The most disappointing is there isn't much exploration in villages and there is the only one village here.It doesn't has an open 3-D open world map like Zelda:Ocarina of Time or riding a horse as a vehicle.Perhaps Square should take note of that.The camera angle wasn't as keen as i would have expected and not as good as xenogears.While some camera angle has been quite well done, except in some area like the village,the camera angle really sucks but not that bad at all.You can only zoom in/out and is fixed during exploring while the camera can be rotated in the village.Even though the village can be rotatable,it makes getting from one place to another place difficult.It would really be appreciated if Squaresoft could make an overhead camera angle from the village.Also,another good point is that this game has little or no loading.Because of the game constant playing,the little load time will not cause any fustrations to anyone who playing it.As far as RPG elements are concerned,there are plenty of interactions in the village and in the castle too,whether it is talking to a villager,buying things,appraise items,action figures or talking to palace members in the castle etc.Unlike Final Fantasy 7 or Xenogears,it doesn't has any FMVs or anime for you to watch.However,that doesn't make the game worse.In fact,this is even better as it saves up a lot of CD spaces,no load time for videos/ anime for other things like level designs.If not,it could really be a two-CD action-RPG and would cost even more money.After all,you wouldn't want to buy a game packed with videos and anime and doesn't has good gameplay.Unlike zelda,these game requires a lot of jumping,especially when you got double jumps and it begins to get harder from chapter 3 onwards.From one look,the gap there,seems impossible to jump over but it can be done.Just be patient. Some also requires you to jump diagonally across,jumps on rotating drums, poles and more.And if you don't master double jumps,there is no other alternative ways.This game tends to focus its gameplay more on action and exploring an area,and more unlike the Final Fantasy series.With the Final Fantasy 8 demo packed with the Brave Fencer Musashi,it makes the game even a MUST.Because of the demo disc packed with Brave Fencer Musashiden,it has sold over 300,000 in Japan.Even if without the demo,Brave Fencer Musashiden will still sell very well due to its quality.And for those who purchased the Japanese version of Brave Fencer Musashiden,you are lucky because the demo disk is packed with two more games,one fighting game made by Squaresoft and Namco with Cloud being one of the fighters in the game and another one non-playable demo.Despite not having the best graphics for an action-RPG,things like having a 24-hour clock,assimilated ability,collect action figure,a two- sworded fencer(I don't see Zelda holding two-swords and best of all,with these two swords,fusion and lumina,Musashi can learn 6 different techniques to create combos.)makes up far more than anyone has expected.Square has created another worthy beautiful gem.With gameplay that last between 12 to 24 hours,Brave Fencer Musashi will be the game that will keep you busy until Final Fantasy 8 arrives next year somewhere in September.And don't forget about Parasite eve and Xenogears,the two recent Square games too,especially Xenogears. Graphics:How beautiful it is? Music:Is the music good or bad? Sound:The sound effects like clanking of sword fighting Gameplay:The most important element of all.Is it fun? Replay value:How good is it to make you play the game over again? Innovation:The elements that make up the game.Original? Valve Tilt:Would you still care about the game after a certain month of its release.About six months? You may ask why diffculty ranges from easy to hard.It's simple,because it may seem hard to you for the first few times but after some practises,it becomes so natural that it is so easy.After all,practise makes perfect. I'll give it 9.3 if the graphics are as glorious as the one in zelda.There are too many polygon pop-up but still gameplay doesn't suffer too much because of that.And if it has those larger maps,more villages with exploration from town to town,it will probably get 10/10 like zelda. ____________________________________________________________________________ The True Story behind the Battle of Musashi and kojiro Musashi was born in the town of Miyamoto and lived during a time when Japan was undergoing radical military and political changes. After Tokugawa Ieyasu won the battle of Sekigahara in 1600 and unified Japan,the role of the samurai changed significantly and many samurai became masterless,or ronin. Musashi developed a two-sword style called Nitenichiryu or the Two-Heavens-as- One school.Legends say that he fought with his sword for the first time when he was 13 years old, and never lost any duels for 17 years.He fought Sasaki Kojiro on Ganryu island in 1612,for his last fight.There are many legends about the duel at the island.It is believed that he delayed to get to the island over an hour from the promissed time.Kojiro got angry at waiting for Musashi,and couldn't recover his composure when Musashi finally appeared.When Kojiro drew his sword,he threw his sheath away.Then Musashi said "You are lost,Kojiro.Those who need no sheath are those who will die." The words were true for Kojiro. He became the guest of a major daimyo,Hosokawa Tadatoshi in 1640.After that, he lived in a cave on Mt. Iwato,and wrote Go rin No Sho or the Book of Five Rings.He died not long after completing this book in 1645. I guess that's where the two characters in the game,Musashi and Kojiro came from,as well as the five scrolls. Everything in the monster's path was destroyed, and it is said many monsters were created by the strange effects the Wizard of Darkness had on the land. Brave Fencer Musashi was called upon by King Allucaneet to stop the evil wizard of darkness,a huge creature composed of pure Binchotite,a mystical mineral with mysterious properties from doing destruction to the world and is the only raw material for making Bincholon,a source for fuel and other household,industrial applications. Handed down from generation to generation to the princess of Allucaneet,the Hero Summon spell is a special power used only as a last resort when the kingdom is faced with great danger.It grants the user the ability to summon hero through incantations made over specially prepared chunk of Binchotite. The battle between Musashi and the Wizard of Darkness raged on and on. The Wizard of Darkness was a formidable foe, even for a hero like Musashi.With the sword of Luminescence and the help of five legendary armor Musashi collected,Brave Fencer Musashi could only seals the Dark lumina,the wizard of darkness inside the sword and divided its power into five legendary scrolls,Earth, Water, Fire, Wind and Sky and then sealed them within the crest.It's said that once the five scrolls are absorbed by lumina once again,the spell that seal the wizard of darkness will be released once again.In order to stop the wizard of darkness from doing any harm to the world,Brave Fencer called upon the five crest guardians to protect the five scrolls.The legendary Brave Fencer Musashi once again returned to his own world.As years passed,people has forgotten about the wizard of Darkness.Then once again,the Thirstquencher Empire has been continuing to expand its territories and threaten the Allucaneet Kingdom while the King and Queen of Allucaneet Kingdom is away on a vacation.The princess of Allucaneet kingdom possesses the power to summon a hero and summon the legendary Brave Fencer Musashi.However,Musashi turns out to be a kid and has no idea about the battle with the wizard of darkness.With the sword of fusion to assimilate ability,Musashi went to the spiraling tower to obtain the sword of Lumina. The princess was captured by the Thirstquencher Empire on the way.He went on his journey to collect the five scrolls and rescue the princess,not knowing anything about the battle before.And now the journey continues...Would the seal of the Wizard of Darkness be broken once again?I can't tell you now. While it may not have the best graphics action-RPG,it certainly has some other great fighting elements that can easily rival zelda. Good Awards -The First action-RPG character,Musashi holding two swords like the japanese samurai -The first action-RPG with 24-hour clock,days,and time. -The ability to assimilate enemies' abilities -Great storyline -The first real action-RPG with real voice overs during key scenes. -Most innovative boss:when fighting Topo.it's like Parappa meets Musashi. -Most innovative missions:Rescuing 35 palace members and finding 13 minkus. -Most strangest boss fight:Tower of Death -Best feature:Action Figures and fusion abilities -2nd runner up feature:shops have opened and closed hours -3rd runner up feature:sleep,eat,swing,climb -4th runner up feature:Bread and milk will spoilt after 5 days. -The most humorous game Bad Awards -Not having the best graphics action-RPG and has too many polygon pop-up. -Not many good music,except the ending one.(not that bad after all) -unable to rotate camera angles when exploring during adventure;camera is fixed. -only one village. Others: -the game that has so many jumps and swings.More action than puzzles. -too many chasing like being chased down from the statue head;chased by dark Lumina etc.Could it be a good or bad thing? What a waste of Kojiro? What happened to Kojiro after he is being absorbed by Wizard of Darkness? Steward Ribson and the Palace members Ribson and his group of palace members are a source of info for Musashi.He will told you that 35 people were missing and you will have to rescue them from the bincho field.Visit him and he will tell you how many people you have saved.Dedicated to the plight and safely of the princess and Alluncaneet,Steward Ribson is a loyal member to the Kingdom and will help Musashi in any way if possible. Scribe Shanky The man in charge of the library.He will read valuable informations about the five scrolls,armors to you.Later,during the game to find the directions of the meandering forest,you will need to read the Shogi to find clues for the directions. Kojiro Kojiro is a mysterious swordsman summoned by princess fillet's second hero summon spell.He will do anything to settle with Musashi,Musashi arch rivary. He joins the thirstquencher empire to fight Musashi.Not much is know about him.He's kind hearted in nature,that's what i feel about him.Perhaps Square should make another new event starring Kojiro and Musashi and where did they come from?Probably,the next Brave Fencer 2 should make a hero starring Kojiro.kojiro looks so much better than Musashi. Leader's Force Topo,Ed and Ben are the members of leader's force,an organisation commanded by Capriciola who has only one aim-To obtain Lumina from Musashi.All said they are the leader of this force but who's the real leader anyway.Who cares? Topo A mouse dancer.Dancing is her favourite past time.She's not that bad after all even she disguises the princess and steals the villagers profit. Ben He carries a blade in his hand,looks big and fat with a huge belly. Ed He might look small but he is rather powerful.(actually not that powerful) Plus,he stammers when he talk.I don't understand why?Is he afraid of Musashi? Rootrick The second Lieutenant in the army,he is rather stupid,annoying and is easy to defeat.His connections within the army enable him to be the lieutenant.He is a dumb fellow that never does things properly as he is told to do. Colonel Cappriciola He serves as Fuhrer Flatski's right-hand man.Much more methodical and intelligent than his boss,Cappriciola is a dangerous enemy.Well,anyway,who is he?Can't disclose his true identity if not,it will really ruin the game. Former Thirstquencher King and Queen The former Thirstquencher King and Queen were thought to be killed by Fuhrer Flatski.It's also thought that the prince of Thirstquencher also dies along with his parents.Damm!Can't disclose the real identity of the prince.You know later on. The King and Queen of Allucaneet Kingdom When the princess was captured by the thirstquencher empire,the King and Queen were on their vacation.They did not know about the battle with the thirstquencher empire and were shocked to return to find the princess has ruined the entire castle. Jon Jon is a wandering treasure hunter,travelling round the world with his dog, Leno.He knows a lot of things about the legendary armor and scrolls.And who is this mysterious man?Why does he know so much? Leno Leno is a loyal dog,belonging to Jon.It wanders around with Jon to search for treasure round the world. Bubbles and Ginderelle They are sisters within the Thirstquencher army's spy network.Ginderelle is bubble's elder sister.While they are not carrying their duties,they participate in some beauty contests.It's said that Ginderelle won the first and Bubbles,the second during the contest.Bubbles and Ginderelle are loggerheads and often disagree with each other. Bubbles The first Lieutenant in the Thirstquencher Army Ginderelle Ginderelle is the Captain of the Thirstquencher Army Mayor McGovern Grillin' Village's leader,the mayor.He always have a favour to ask Musashi such as getting Aqualin and Misteria and always putting Musashi on danger but his care for the village is genuine. Mrs Govern The mayor's wife.Like Mr Govern,her care for the village is also genuine. Fuhrer Flatski The king of thirstquencher empire.It has been said that he killed the former King and Queen of the Thirstquencher empire and seize over their throne.His ambitions and hopes to expand the thirstquencher empire finally kills him. Why does he want to seize Lumina from Musashi? Father White The father who lives in the church and can cures poison for you. Tim The son of Hilda,the owner of village grocery shop.Tim is a rather rude boy with a lot of ambitions and dreams to go on a adventure.Later on,during Chapter 3,Tim will contact a disease and is on a verge of turning into a vambee. Mint The daughter of Hotelo,the inn shop owner.Mint is Tim's loyal friend. Minku This animal is on the verge of being extinct.There are a total of 13 such animals in the world only.They carry longevity berries which can increase Musashi's max HP by 25 and fully recover HP.These creatures inhabit various areas in the game.These animals are active at the night and will only come out after 2300.Plus,you will noticed an animal dung during the day. Mother Minku Mother Minku appears only after you have got 13 minkus in the meandering forest.She is a giant mega-sized Minku,about 5 times bigger and is much stronger than any other normal minku. Steam Knight Steam knight is a giant four-legged machine summoned by Rootrick to defeat Musashi.It carries an iron ball in his hand. Elemental Attack:None Skullpion Skullpion is the Earth crest guardian who protects the Earth scroll. Defeating it will enables you to liberate the Earth Crest. Elemental Attack:None Relic keeper Relic keeper is the water crest guardian who protects the water scroll. Defeating it will enables you to liberate the Earth Crest. Elemental Attack:Fire attack Frost Dragon Frost Dragon is the fire crest guadian who protects the fire scoll.Defeating it will enables you to liberate the Fire Crest. Elemental Attack:Ice attacks(Even though there's no ice scroll.) Queen Ant Queen Ant is the wind crest guardian who protects the wind crest.Defeating it will enables you to liberate the wind crest. Elemental Attack:All(Fire,Wind,Water,sword waves,Dark Clones) ____________________________________________________________________________ Fusion and Lumina Fusion:A light-weight special sword with the ability to assimilate enemies' abilities.Shorter than Lumina and cause lesser damage than Lumina.However,it allows quick swipes continously by pressing square button. Lumina:A powerful,yet heavy sword than fusion.You can attach scrolls to the sword to gain new abilities.The only sword that can break bincho field. Causes nearly twice the damage of fusion.However,it doesn't has any quick swipes like fusion sword. ____________________________________________________________________________ Fusion 'Fusion' is a special 'steal' technique used by Mushashi.In this game, you need to learn to steal enemy's techniques in order to advance so try to absorb enemy skills when you are stuck during the game.Also, there are lots of hidden path which requires you to learn enemy skills.Some skills like hop are immediately executed when you absorb but these skills are only temporary whereas some skills like gunshots are permanently and can be used by pressing circle. Of course ,BP will be consumed.There will be a bar on the left side and a word 'Fusion' on the right side. First,look in the direction of your enemy, hold R1 and the gauge on the left side bar will rise up. Once it's full, press square and a green beam will shoot up.If this green beam hits the enemy, repeatedly press the square button.You will noticed that the left bar will be emptied again but will rise up as you pressed square.When it's full, you will learn the skill.For example,if you assimilate gunshot,the word 'fusion' will disappear and change into gunshot, indicating you have successfully learned. However, note that you are only allowed to have one enemy skill each time.For example, if you already have learned gunshot,you steal 'hop',your previous skill,gunshot will be lost. Stealing your enemy skill will instantly killed your enemy and caused them to disappear but they does not left behind items like money,BP,HP.Note that you can't steal techniques from bosses.And when you are fighting against bosses,your assimilated ability immediately disappear and change to fusion. For more info,pls read the assimilated abilities ____________________________________________________________________________ 24-hour Game Clock On your right side,you will see the no of days,time.Your enviroment will change as time goes on.it's mid-night,the sky will grow darker.Sometimes you will need to go inside the shop to buy things.The shop will not opened until it reaches a certain period of time.For example,shops like bakery shop,pawn shop will close when it is at night,except the inn.So,you may have to sleep and wait.It incorporates a real-time clock within the game.This clock runs 24 hours a day,seven days a week.The days in the game are determined in this order:Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday, skyday,saturday,sunday. ____________________________________________________________________________ Sleep To sleep,press select.If done correctly,the left hand side picture should change to a 'moon'or sleep mode.Then hold R1 and release it when it's full. Musashi will lie on the ground,the bottom middle will show your tiredness. For example,100% tiredness shows that you are very tired.During quest, it's best to have around 20% to 40%,if not you might fall asleep sometime. To wake up,press X.When you sleep,time will continue to past and your BP will decrease and HP will rise.You can also use an H-mint or mint item to cure tiredness.When Musashi's tired percentage is over 50%,the small, circular portrait window in the right-hand side of the screen will begin to close.When it's completely close,Musashi is 100% tired. Tip:if you are really tired,feed yourself with H-mint or mint. ____________________________________________________________________________ Movement Musashi moves faster when he is fully awake.If Musashi is very tired or poisoned,or zero BP,he will not be able to run fast as usual.Then,you will know what to do,huh? ____________________________________________________________________________ Memory box It looks like a chest.When opened up,it will ask you whether you want to leave your memory here.If you leave your memory here,you can continue from here when you die,however you will lose 50% of your money.Also,the most important thing is if you leave your memory in the memory box and switched off your machine,your memory will be eased and you have to start from the inn.Saving in a memory box may be costly and is more unreliable.You should rely more on the inn. ____________________________________________________________________________ Saving your Game You can only save your game in an inn or after you have completed a chapter which will prompts you to save or in Chapter 6 after beating the sub-bosses like Topo,Ben,Ed. ____________________________________________________________________________ Minku These are the bunnies that you will see in the game.There are a total of 13 minku.They come out only after 2300.During the day,there will be a spot with animal dung.These minku moves very fast and you have to carried them by pressing square or triangle when near.Throw them away and they will give you longevity berry which will boast your HP by 25.A must to find all.Once you find the 13 minku,you will find mother minku in the meandering forest.Defeat it and you will be able to buy mother minku action figure. ____________________________________________________________________________ Crests and Scrolls. There are 5 lengendary scrolls,belonging to 5 elements(earth,water,fire,wind sky.)which you must obtain.Once you have defeated the corresponding crest guardian and get the scroll for that specific element,the crest for that element will glow and a hidden path will be revealed.For more info on crest,read the advanced tactics on crest location The effects are: Scroll Abilities Effects Normal Circular sweep 1)Extinguish some flames 2)Break hard/Large objects Earth Earthquake 1)Moves most large boulders 2)Stun surrounding enemies temporary 3)Activate switches Water Water shield 1)Creates a water & shield,enabling to block #Shoot water bubbles One fire elemental attack but disappear after that. 2)Float on water temporary 3)Extinguish flames Fire #Flame 1)Shoot flames Fire Shield 2)Creates a fire shield and harm surrounding enemies 3)Light up torches Wind #Cyclone 1)Pass through strong winds and poisonous clouds 2)Drills hole Sky #Float 1)Temporarily float a few feet above ground To perform the special abilities,in the sub-menu,choose the the type of scrolls that you want,for example Earth or Normal.To perform the Earth ability,just hold R1 until the left side gauge bar is full,then press Triangle to perform the ability.As for special scrolls marked with #,like water,wind,fire,repeat the same procedure,and then you will noticed that the left side gauge bar will begin to empty.Before the bar is emptied,you can hold triangle or square to perform another ability for example,water to shoot bubbles,fire to shoot flames and wind to create cyclone.As for sky,it is similar to fire,water,wind,but instead of hoding square or triangle,you hold X to float. ____________________________________________________________________________ Legendary Armors Legend says that Musashi seals the wizard of darkness with the help of five armor but in actual,there are 6 legendary armor if you count the L-cloth. With the L-cloth,you can make L-glove or L-quilt.However,you can only choose one between L-glove and L-quilt,that makes 6 instead of 7.Each Legendary armor will be automatically equipped and each gives you a special ability. For example,L-belt lets you to perform double jump by pressing X twice and L- brace lets you climb up a cliff with your two sword. For more information,pls read the secret section on Legendary armors and how to obtain the L-glove or L-quilt. ____________________________________________________________________________ HP and BP Your BP will decrease after some time while your HP will rise.Be sure to have tons of recovering BP items.The HP too is also very important.The best recovery item of all is the cheese.It costs around 300 and is much more cheaper than S- revive.You will need to keep the cheese as long as possible. It recovers both HP and BP.The longer you kept the cheese before using,the more you will recover.Sometimes,it will recover all.Defeating an enemy will also give you items.Some gives you money and some recovers HP or BP.Note that the max HP and BP you can go is 500. ____________________________________________________________________________ Techniques. There are 6 specialised techniques that you can learn.I don't think there are any more.Each technique is a new special attack skill.For example,the Dashing Pierce,allows you to to charge at your enemies whereas Rumparoni-SP is an aerial attack using your Lumina sword by pressing triangle when you double jump.Master these techniques well as each of these will come in handy and useful when dealing with some bosses and enemies.Believe me!They can cause quite a lot of damage to your enemy. For more info on techniques,pls read the secret sections on techniques as it will include all the 6 listed techniques and the moves. ____________________________________________________________________________ Bincho Field Bincho Field is a restraining weapon developed by Thirstquencher army that is able to seal solid objects up in a green crystal with concentrated bincho energy.The Thirstquencher empire uses this weapon to trap the palace members of Allucaneet and terriorize the Kingdom.There are a total of 35 people trap in this bincho field.Some are found in hidden paths and cannot be located easily.Some will even teach your techniques in return.In the game,you will see a 'glowing green crystal'.Hit triangle using the lumina sword and after a short conversation, they should teleport back to the castle.You can also visit them at the castle.Also, everytime,you rescue from someone in the Bincho field,your max BP will gain 5 more and completely restored.So it's best to use up nearly all your BP and hit the bincho field to regain all your BP rather than just a few.It's a good bargain.You can detect those bincho field by your sensor watch that Butler Livers give you. ____________________________________________________________________________ The village. Here is a list of what you can find in the village.I have also listed out the the types of items you expect them to sell from various types of shop.I have also listed their opening hours. For more info on village shop,i urge you to read the advanced tactics on village. Bakery:Buying bread,milk etc. Note:Bread and milk lasts only 5 days which after will cause them to rotten and become uneatable.Sell bread and milk to them only.Does not buy any items like action figure from you. Hours open:7am to 7pm.Closed:Thursday Grocery or general store:Let you buy items like orange,S-revive. Only buy their own shop items from you only. Open daily from 10am to 8pm Pawn shop:Allows items to be appraise.Only buy appraised items from you. Hours open:11am to 4pm.Closed:Monday Toy store:This is the most interesting feature i have ever seen.Once you defeats your enemy,you can buy their action figure from the shop.The game moves in chapters and series 1 refers to all the enemies that you have fought in chapter 1,series 2 refers to enemies in chapter 2.If an action figure is missing from a particular series,this means you have not fought that enemy yet and a ??? will be shown.it's great to have a whole collection of action figure.Probably you will receive something or not?The last ???of a particular series usually refers to the last boss of that chapter.So don't panic if you have not got the figure yet.The last group is called the special edition of action figure which has 7 slots instead of 6 like the series.The special action figure cannot be purchased unlike you have to defeat the enemies like other series,you will have to unlock it yourself.The only advice that i can give you.The early you buy a new action figure that is just comes in,the cheaper it is.The longer you buy,the price will higher.Now,here's a simple trick to help you make money.If you have decided to sell your action figure,it's best to sell it as later as possible so that you will earn a profit.However,if you regret and want to buy the action figure again,it will be much more and more expensive.It's good to collect an action figure,so don't sell it.Earn as much Drans as possible to collect as many action figure.Note that Kurt won't buy open toys. Hours Open:12pm to 8pm Closed:Wednesday Note:Refer to the secrets section to learn more about special action figure. Inn:The inn allows you to save your journey for free.However,sleeping in an inn needs money.The more expensive room,the more HP and BP you will recover. However,taking nap for 80 only heals your BP completely but not HP.Nap requires 3 hours. Note:that sleeping requires time.Normally,you will sleep until the next day you wake up and your tiredness will be almost or nearly gone. Hours Open:Almost every time. Restaurant:Lets you eat and chat with others.There is also a man who will be willing to gamble with you.1 bet 100. Hours Open:6pm to 2am. Closed:Sunday. ____________________________________________________________________________ Palace Visit :Allow you to visit Steward Ribson and other people that you have saved.Some of the palace members that ou saved will provide you with informations and teach your techniques,of course during certain conditions and during the plot. Library :Allow Scribe Shanky to read books to you.Gains valuable information about the scrolls. Room :Allow you to sleep in your room to regain HP and BP or play with your action figure.Spent 8 hours for sleeping. Sub-menu :View the sub-menu such as techniques learned,rescue list,items, config,scrolls,etc.Refer to sub-menu. Village :Allow you to return to the village Gondola :This ride is not available until the Gondola ride is repaired or only during Chapter 5.Allows you to return to the village. ____________________________________________________________________________ Binchotite It is the supreme from of energy which is mined mainly in the vicinity of Allucaneet.When underground,it exists in a liquid from,however,when exposed to air becomes crystalizes.It is also the raw material of Bincholon. Bincholon is a source of fuel and energy for the Grillin' citizens.The steamwood is built to pump this Bincholon.However,Binchotite is toxic and there have been reported cases of plants and animals mutating after being exposed to it and one of the reason why you got poison after you fell into this binchotite mine. ____________________________________________________________________________ Stats Body:Musashi's strength.Exp increaes as he defeats enemies. Mind:Reduce damage by force of will.Exp increases the more you travel. Fus:Fusion's attack power.Exp increases the more Fusion is used. Lum:Lumina's attack power.Exp increases the more lumina is used. Note that the max limit you can go is Lv 30. ____________________________________________________________________________ Limit As mention,if you use more fusion attack,your fusion level attack will increase,so does lumina.The no on the left of each bar shows the level of the fusion,lumina,body and mind.The no on the right shows its strength,the higher it is,the more stronger it is.For example,52 on the right side of lumina shows that lumina attack is 52.When itr comes to a certain level,it will reach its limit.For example,in chapter 2,you can train your mind,body, fusion,lumina up to Lv 8.After completing each chapter,your limit will extent furthur and you wil be able to train more than level 8. ____________________________________________________________________________ Sub-Menu View List:View the rescue list. Config-1)Vibr:Turns the vibration ON/OFF 2)VE:Turns the visual effects during assimilation ON/OFF 3)BGM:Sets the background music volume from 1 to 7 4)SE:Sets the sound volume 5)Sound:Stereo or Monaural ___________________________________________________________________________ Basic controls Square:Fusion attack Triangle:Lumina attack X:Jump Circle:Uses selected assimilated ability L1:When hold,let you walk instead of run R1:Fills up the left side bar gauge L2:Rotate camera angle anti-clockwise;sometimes zoom in/out R2:Rotate camera angle clockwise;sometimes zoom in/out Select:Switch between battle and sleep mode Start:View the sub-menu D-pad:Moves in the specific direction.When hold,runs in that direction. #You can only rotate camera in the village only.And during exploring,you can't rotate the camera angles but you can zoom in and out. ____________________________________________________________________________ Defending By pressing R1,Musashi can block any frontal attack.The only disadvantage is that you can't run or jump while Musashi is blocking and can't defend any attack from sides,back or from the top.You can use this action when you get confronted with a room full of enemies and you need some time to correctly position yourself for the attack.If Musashi finds himself in a hairy situation,press X button while defending to perform a quick backflip. ____________________________________________________________________________ Gondola Lift The Gondola ride provides transportation to and from the palace like a cable ride.It won't be available until the Gondola is repaired until chapter 5. It is opened daily from 7 am to 10 pm.You can take the Gondola lift from the palace to the village by choosing the Gondola at the last option or from the village to the palace by talking to Mr Lands sitting at the Gondola. ____________________________________________________________________________ General tips. Items 1)Appraise any items that you have found.Without appraise,this item is useless. 2)Sell items that have been appraised like crystal,long tube,goldcoins for Drans.They are totally useless. 3)Do not sell the cloth or goggles.They are useful. 4)Don't buy items like breads,orange,riceball,milk that will rotten. 5)Instead,buy items like W-gel,C-drink and at least one S-revive in your inventory.Bread will become Ol' bread and then rot bread.Milk will change into sour milk after five days,making it worthless.However,several days later,it will change into yogurt. 6)Buy one to three cheese and keep them as long as possible.When kept for long,it might even heal all your HP and BP completely,plus it's much cheaper than C-Drink,S-revive and does not rotten.Save it as long as possible and used it during the boss. During adventure 1)Look out for hidden paths and treasure.You might not be able to go there,but come back later. 2)keep a look out for minku.They are a source of HP boasters. 3)Look out for Bincho field.Not only are they a source of BP,you get valuable techniques and info.Some of the Bincho field are hidden and cannot be acessed right away.Some are less accessible and hard to see than others.Also,some jumpings and climbing may be needed.Be sure to explore first before leaving. 4)Master the fusion to steal techniques.You need to learn some fusion techniques to advance the game. 5)When your HP is running low,you can sleep.You will noticed that your HP will rise by 4 for every BP decrease.If you get the legendary quilt,not only twice faster the time,it regains your HP by 10 and BP by 8 each time.However,if you don't have legendary quilt,and you get poison.My advice is if you sleep,your HP will decrease by 8 each time your BP drops.total you will lose 4 HP.If you have the legendary quilt,your HP will gain by 2 instead of 10 each time. 6)Collect heart tablets(restore HP) and Bincholons(restores BP). 7)Pick up Drans too.Drans is the currency of money in this game. When jumping As i said that,this game has a lots of jumps and you could hardly believe that it is possible to jump over.Some jumps require you to jump diagonally cross. 1)Be patient if you cannot jump over. 2)Choose from a good position to jump. 3)Make sure you are not poisoned or very tired.if you are tired,then sleep. 4)Do not force yourself if you are unable.Change your position. 5)Run as fast and jump. 5)Try to jump from a higher position to a lower position. Swing 1)Swing as long as posible to gain more kinetic energy to join higher.Simple enough!The law of Physics. 2)Look at the direction here you are facing before pressing X to jump higher. Pole 1)There isn't much to say about jumping from pole to pole.Climb up to the peak of the pole and then jump. Climbing 1)You can only climb once you have the L-brace.Press Square and Triangle consecutively to climb up the cliff. Saving 1)Do not rely too much on memory box 2)Save at least more than 2 different data. Techniques for Double Jumps There isn't much to say.You can jump more higher and furthur if you spin while in the air instead of pressing X too fast in ground. The trick is: Choose from a good position. Press X to jump once while holding the directional button. Hold directional button but release the X button for a second. Then you should be in air. Quicky,press X button while holding the directional button. Then you should be able to jump slighier farthur and higher rather than pressing X so fast.that's means press the second time X when you have reached the peak of your jumps. Techniques for boss. Look out for a way to hit the boss and follow a distinct pattern.Refer to trhe walkthrough for srategies on bosses. ____________________________________________________________________________ Major Walkthrough ____________________________________________________________________________ Chapter 1:The journey begins Starting Enemies:Bee Plants,Blue Soldier 1,Red Soldier 1 After the intro,the hero sets out to recover Lumina,a magical sword.The first part is very easy.Just kill your enemy along the way and tried your fusion to steal enemy's technique.You will have to make a series of jumps while getting rid of bee plants,gun soldiers,sword soldiers.You can also throw them away by pressing square or triangle when very near to them. Collect as many coins,Heart Tablets and Bincholons as possible.Musashi initial weapon,fusion is rather weak and causes very little damage to most enemies and requires several hits to elimilate the enemies.These enemies wandered around aimlessly and when they spotted Musashi,an exclamation mark appears on top of his head and would begin to attack you.Run up the path, jump the river and make your way to the 3 rocks.Push the middle rock as far as it will go.Watch out for the Red Guard try to push log on top of you.When you get to a small stream,should you fall into the water,Musashi's HP will be reduced as Musashi,himself does not know how to swim,you will need to find a Blue Gun soldier to absorb technique,this will give you gunshot.Each shot consumes 1BP.Shoot the logs down to cross the river by pressing circle. Question:How to steal enemy technique? Answer:Read at the general strategy on fusion. Outside Enemies:Stone Head Start off by heading left or right and you will notice that the stone head is bombarding you with exploding red spiral beams,to a ringed wall with a huge head in the middle and many statues surrounding the middle head.The head will generate an electrical field,destroy these statues and an emblem will be exposed.Step on the four emblems and a path will be revealed.While you are hacking these statues,the middle head will generate a red spiral which causes explosions on you.Run around to prevent damage.You can dodge the beam by running around.Enter the door to get inside.Find the base of the spiral path and begin to ascend the tower.Avoid the spiked logs and giant wheels that roll down the path.They appear in a set pattern and is easy to avoid.The first stone wheel rolls down the inner part of the path;the second wheel rolls down the ouside path;followed by a rolling log which you can jump over to avoid getting hit by the rolling spiked log. Inside the Spiral Tower Enemies:Sphere Bat,Blue Soldier 1,Red Soldier 1 Make your way up the spiraling path.Along the way,there will be some guards there to stop you and blue bats flying towards you.These blue bats attack in groups of three can cause quite a decent damage on you,however they are easy to kill.When they are flying toward you,stop for a while and keep attacking using quick swipes by pressing square continously..These will kill the bats and they cannot come near you.You can also dodge the bats by maiking a jump. i suggest killing them as these bats will often give you HP for recovery. Musashi will stop and comment on a big bell hanging over a fiery pit. Continue upwards and there will be a door at the top that it is locked.A secret path will reveals until complete darkness.Once the bell falls,the light will go off. Question:How to make the bell fall? Answer:Use gunshot to shoot at the rope.The bell will fall. Question:What if i absorb stun and lost my gunshot techniques? There will be a blue guard there.So steal his techniques. The secret path will reveal.the door will opened.Enter it. To Get Lumina Sword on the Roof. Enemies:Blue Soldier 1,Red Soldier 1 You will be on the roof and you will see the big head and a lot of guards. You can't get the sword because the head will generate a red crystal around the sword.There is a panel there and when stepped,the removes the force field. The problem is how to get the sword when you are stepping on the square? Question:How to get the sword? Answer:1.try to lure some guards to the square so you can picked up the sword when the panel is stepped on.This requires timing. Question:Is there another way? Answer:There is a second method which is more efficient.Go get one of the guards, the Red Guard actually.Absorb his ability and you will learn 'Stun'. This will cause your enemy to paralyse.First,lure him over to the force field.When he stepped on the force field,use stun get the sword. Chasing The head will destroy the tower and chase after you.It requires some practise and you should be able to after a few rounds.Should you failed,you can continue again(unlimited) without from the beginning but the time goes on. Techniques: When Musashi yells 'jumps',get ready to jump over the river. Try to go as straight as possible,saving more time,rather than going left and right too often. Make use of jumps.Jump over small boulders to save you time. Try to remain in the middle path while trying to dodge obstactles on the path. ignore enemies along the way.Just concentrate on avoiding rocks and logs. Castle How can a chapter ends without the boss?Upon reaching the castle,the princess will be captured by a bad guy called Rootrick.After a conversation, he will trap you in a ring of fire.The princess will then asks Musashi to use lumina.Hold R1 until the left bar guage is full.Then press triangle. Musashi will spin his lumina sword (remember,something! Ah, Zelda!)These will put up the ring of fire.Rootrick gets angry and he will left with the princess,leaving a steam Knight. Steam Knight This guy has a very big steel ball that he will drops it on you.The trick is while he is spinning the ball,he's ready to drop the ball on you.Run anywhere or jump around to dodge.Watch out for the steam,coming from his leg.Do not hold R1 because you will be unable to move fast to dodge his attack.Hold R1 only after he has stop spinning the ball,move closer to his one of his legs and use lumina by pressing triangle while the bar is full. A few time on his legs will cause him to stun. During this time,attack the torso spot in his mid-section the arrow will point to.Be sure to use lumina. This will cause him damage. He will wake out after some time.Use the same technique on his other leg until he is stun.When his HP runs out,go near him and throw him out of the wall by triangle.His HP should refilled and repeat the same procedure again.Be careful,he will also start throwing pillar on you. When his HP is completely gone,throw him out again,his HP should refilled the once more for the last time.Do not go near him since simply this time,you can't attack his legs anymore to knock him off.You have to attacked the middle torso spot.The only way to let him jump high up the air,when he lands,remember to stay away from a certain distance from him to prevent getting hurt,his torso will be exposed. This time,move as fast up and hit the glowing ball.This should do him damage.When his HP is completely gone, you will get to toss it out of the town.Exhausted from battle.Musashi decides to take a rest. Tips:When Steam knight is ready to throw steelball at you,you can jump to avoid it. Credit:This tip is submitted by try it yourself. Congradulations,you have completed chapter 1. ____________________________________________________________________________ Chapter 2:A new journey Important Reminder!!!:Pls read the basic tactics on village shops,how to sleep,the 24-hour clock and so on before proceeding because i won't be repeating again in the walkthrough. Village As you begin Chapter 2,Musashi awakens in a room within the Allucaneet Palace and will be greeted by Steward Ribson and Butler Livers.Butler Livers will ask you to recover five scrolls and rescue 35 palace members that are trapped in a bincho field.Butler Liver will give you a rescue list where you can view the names of the people that you have rescue through sub-menu. Butler Liver will also give you the sensor watch which detects nearby bincho field by flashing red.The small rings in the bottom corners of the screen will begin to flash reddish in color when a bincho field is nearby.Although it is difficult to be seen on screen,this is the sensor watch.The faster the sensor watch flashes,the nearer you are to the bincho field. After a scene with everyone,you can visit the village after you have gone to the library,or meet all your friends.Because the Gondola ride is out of service,Musashi must use his two swords to ride the Gondola's rope to the village.You can return to the palace through the entrance near the Father White's church.When you first go into town,it's best to speak to the mayor first.He lives in a big house near the bottom of the trail that you come down and can be identified by a windvane on the top of the roof.Knock on the door by square.The time is very important,if you knock on the door very early in the morning,the door won't open.Wait until when most has wake up. Around 10.30am.The mayor will open the door and should talk about the lost dog and ask you to find it it in the twinpeak mountain.The mayor says that he may consider Musashi part of Grillin' citizens and provide him with information on the five scrolls,only if he agrees to bring the dog back. However,you can't enter the mountain without the Macho's permission.You will have to find a way yourself.Take some time to familiarise the layout of the village and the citizens. Tips:There are two ways to enter the Twinpeak mt. 1)Wait until Macho visits the restaurant at six and go in by the entrance. 2)Save Guard Lumpwood. To avoid wasting time,it's best to save Guard Lumpwood. Going into Somnolent Forest Bincho field:Guard Lumpwood(somnolent forest), Hawker Steakwood(Dead end) Enemies :Green Soldier 3,Herb Plant,Magician,Maneater,Hopper But before you go,make sure you have a plentiful supplies of bread,Gel etc. take the path,right the church and over the river.Remember not to fall into the river.Musashi cannot swim.Read the sign board.It should says 'Dead End'. Go in to the forest and release the bincho field.(Hawker Steakwood)YoHo!You have rescued the first person.Go back to the village again to the other end and entered the forest.The sign should read Somnolent Forest.You can't enter the bottom path because it is surrounds with steam and you will get hurt when you are too near to the steam.Come back after the explosion of the steam reactor(1) to release another bincho field.Now,go up the path and rescue another Bincho field.(Guard Lumpwood)Now,head back to the village. Talk to everyone for info. Twinpeak Mountain(Rescuing Leno) Bincho Field:Soldier Lardwick Minku :Left path of the Twinpeak entrance. Enemies :King Maneater,Magician,Maneater Go back up the path and the guard,Lumpwood that you saved earlier will let you pass through the Twinpeak mountain Entrance.If you did not rescue Lumpwood,Macho will be at the entrance to stop you from entering.Then you will have to wait until 6pam when he visit the restaurant.Note:there is a minku when you first come to the village,go left path.Do not come down.You should see an animal dung.During anytime of the game between 2300 to 2400, visit the place again to obtain longevity berry to boast your HP by 25.You can also visit now before entering the mountain.Go left and hold R1 once you see the Magician,absorb his shrink technique.Press circle to use it.Any enemies who gets shrink cannot attacked and can be easily stomp by enemy, including yourself.Don't forget that the magician can also shrink you but after a while,you will regain.Release the guy in the bincho field next to where the first magician appeared.(Soldier Lardwick)Jump on the lilly pad and use shrink on the King Maneater.Jump over and you should see Leno,the dog on the other side.Note:If you did not meet the mayor,Leno will not be there and a bone will be left behind.Pick up Leno and throw him over to the other side and get him back to the path.Should Leno falls into the water,he will return to where the bone is.Remember,don't toss leno into the exit or he will reappear on the island.To pick the dog up,simply press Square or Triangle and then Square to toss the dog.When you return,talk to mayor.He will ask you to speak to Jon for more information on the five scrolls,the prisoner near the entrances to the Dead End and Somnolent Forest area. Finding Bread and Water Go over the river and talk to the prisoner, he will ask for water and bread. Go buy some Rye bread from the store, but the water must come from the well by the church.If the two women(Mrs Grange and Mrs Lands)are there you'll have to wait until there gone,explore!For your information,they are at the well between 10am to 4pm.To get the water,simply go near the well and press Square.Once you get the water,WellH20,take it to the guy and he gulps down the food and tells you that he is a "Treasure Hunter".You agree to help him find the key for a secret. Minku:A hidden path near the second bridge Sidequest:Before you crossed the second bridge to the sleepie at Somnolent Forest near the bridge,there is a secret hidden path and you will see another Minku. Bincho field:Seer Bevealy Treasures :Old Crown Enemies :Red Soldier 1,Green Soldier 3,Herb Plant,Magician,Maneater, Sleepie,Thorny Bushes,Bee Plant The key is inside the meandering forest.Go inside the Somnolent forest until you reached the sign 'meandering forest'.You can't go forward any more because there are spikes around.Absorb the hop techniques from the hopper and you will be able to past the thorny bushes.Before hopping the thorny bushes,there is a slope on the right side and you can go up the slope with hop.There is a bincho field(Seer Bevealy)and a chest(Old Crown).Enter the meandering forest.Follow Leno.On the way,there are many enemies and you'll have to kill them to protect Leno.Get the key on the top left tomb in the graveyard and go back by taking the south entrance.Jon will ask you to come after midnight so as to avoid being seen by people.Come back after midnight to rescue him.He will talk about the legendary armor and asked you to collect 4 logs and meet at the Twinpeak mountain. Collecting the First Legendary Armor. Bincho field:Mercenary Meitlofe(left of the three poles is), Shepherd Buffalo,(under the bridge) Knight Lardwick,(beneath the pole after log#1) Carpenter Carvey(where log#2 is) Minku :Left of the memory box on a cliff Treasures :200Drans(left of the memory box), Old Book(waterfall), Dagger(near where you save Shepherd beefalo) Enemies :Blue Soldier 1,Red Soldier1,Green Soldier3,Magician, Maneater,Herb Plant,Sleepie Go through the gate,over the lilypads and run to the other side,there are coins at the top of the 2 poles if you want them. Hop the other two lilies and go around the corner.Run to the far left passing the magician.Release the bincho field and save another person.(Mercenary Meitlofe)You will see three poles.Jump from pole to pole to get to other side.Remember to climb up to restore BP.Go left to the "Memory Box",choose the first option.Note that on the far left end of the cliff of the memory box contains a minku.You will need to jump from a great height to reach cliff.Come back at night to get the minku.Or you will have to wait until you got L-belt to climb the cliff. Go right up the path,jump to the box (Old Book)behind the waterfall,go up the path and into the cave.There is also another chest containing 200Drans to the very left of the memory box.After a series of jumpings, you should come to a bridge. Note: There is another bincho field below and a treasure. (Shepherd Beefalo)(Dagger)Save this person by climbing down middle vine.Note that the vine is electrified.When you come out of the cave down by the river go to the far right,hold R1,hit Triangle,get the tree,go up the path.Go right,notice the red wall, you'll be able to climb these soon.Go down the pole,get the bincho field,(Knight Lardwick)go back up and right to the next pole, go down and get the tree and bincho field.(Carpenter Carvey)Back up and right to the next pole.Go up and get tree number 3, and remember this spot!You'll have to come back here later when you learn to double jump from the very top of this pole to get a bincho field.(Weaver)Go left to get the 4th tree.Continue left and up to meet Jon.Cut down the tree by using lumina.The treasure hunter built a raft for you. Note:Knight Lardwick will not teach you Crosswise Cut until you have defeat Skullpion. Raft Ride Bincho Field:Doctor Tung Treasures :200Drans,Bracelet(both on a cliff after the raft ride) Forget about collecting coins. Use jumps effectively to dodge large boulders.You should be able to after some practise.Unlimited continues should you lost from here.Time will goes on.If you hit the edges,one of your log will be gone and 4 hits will KO you. After you come down the waterfall,there are two ways.The first way allow you to rescue the bincho field,Doctor.He can heal you inside the castle.After rescuing him,you will have to go back and sit on the raft again.The right path will lead you further down the waterfall where you will be seeing some guys throwing rods and staffs on you.Use jump to dodge.Get the bracelet. Don't jump down first.Walk furthur down to open another chest of 200 Drans.Then jump down and head back to the village as there will be nothing for you to explore. Steam Reactor Part 1 Minku :On a cliff at the right of the Gondola ride Treasures:Manual(given by fore), Aged coin(left path before steamwood.) Go to the pawn shop to appraise everything you found.When you exit from the shop,the mayor will talk to you.There is a problem at the steam reactor and he wants you to help.Save and Talk to the steamwood administrator,Fores. Don't bother go for treasure hunting once you have talked to Fores but collect it after Steamwood is saved as time is precious.There is also another minku on the right of the gondola ride in a cliff.Climb up there to take another minku.Climb up the cliff.Talk to him and he will give you the manual.Go to steam wood that is near the windmill,climb the cliff.There is also another secret path to the left where you can obtain another treasure, Aged coin but for the time being you might want to take it after steamwood is repaired.You have only 24 hours to stop.There will be gauges and once reaches the OK zone,press X and the pressure in the valve will rise up.When it's full,head for the next one.There are a total of 8 valves to shut down which must be entered in numerical order from 1 to 8.If done correct,the red door turns to green and your valve timer will rise,giving more time.When it reaches zero,you will have to start all over again from 1.Each gauge will get more and more faster so timing is everything.Be careful about those electrified walls.Jump carefully over them.These electrified walls can poised an hindrance on you,reducing your HP. Note:You might want to try it yourself before looking below for strategies as it might ruin your game. Strategy:When you reach the first level,run to the right and shut down valve#1.To reach #Valve3,you must make a tricky jump onto one of the orange pipes next to the walkway,and then hop over to the valve.Be very careful. Take the lift up to the second level,hop onto an orange pipe next to the elevator and jump onto the main walkway.run to the left past valve#6 to locate valve#4.Shutdown valve #4 and go to the left to shut down valve#6, then right to valve#6.Take the elevator up the last floor and run left to shutdown valve#7 and then finish valve#8. For more information on steam reactor,you might want to read steam reactor Part 2. The Steamwood Administrator Bincho field:Musician Pianissimeat(near Earth Crest), Acrobat Sausage(right pipe of Steamwood) You can go back through the shortcut or go back the same way you came in if you have not release the bincho field(Musician Pianissimeat)near the Earth crest through a left side pipe.Also,there is also another bincho field (Acrobat Sausages)in the right side of the pipe.Once you have both clown and his partner,acrobat,they will be able to perform a stunt for you. Bincho Field:Maid Loinette(south of Somnolent,previously block by steam) Treasure:500Drans(near where you save the maid) Techniques:Dashing Pierce Sidequest:Go to south of Somnolent forest where you can't enter previously to rescue maid.Also,visit the castle and talk to the maid,the 9th person and she should teach you the dashing pierce technique.Take 500drans from the treasure.Talk to Acrobat and he will say that he will perform a stunt for you but every final say has to from Clown.So talk to Clown,the 3rd person and they perform stunt for you,you will need an orange so that they can perform.I forgot to tell you.You can only buy orange at the grocery shop in Chapter 3 after you have saved Tim.So wait until chapter 3 to learn Shish kebab. Twinpeak Mountain:Searching for Earth Scroll. Treasures:Longevity Berry Enemies:Maneater,Magician Once you have saved Steamwood,return to the village and talk to the mayor.He will give you a Longevity Berry to boast your HP by 25 and tell you that Steamwood went berserk because a man with a cape did it and said that the man with the cape went to Twinpeak mt.The same goes for what you did the other time.Enter the mountain.Go to the memory box and save your memory there.Go furthur left and you should have a coversation with Rootrick,the man who has captured princess.Go back to see if the minku on the left of the cliff is out if you have not get it.Now here comes the most challenging part. Climbing Competition There is nothing much to say.Rootrick will challenge you to the top to get Earth scroll.It's very easy.Just keep climbing and you will win.When you reached the top,Musashi will laugh at Rootrick and throw a big stone on him like last time he did to the steam knight.Rootrick,blame yourself for climbing so slow. Finding the Crest Guardian You should have got the first scroll,earth scroll.The scroll will tell you to kill the Earth guardian to release the earth crest. Question:How do I go down?There is a big boulder there blocking my way. Answer:You have to somehow make the big boulder fall.That's when the first use of Earth scroll comes in.Go to the menu.You will see sword.Choose Earth instead of normal.Then powered up with R1,then triangle.Jump down from here. Note:Pls read the scrolls on the basic tactics section Bincho Field:Doctor(if you have not saved) Treasures :Rock(at the peak of the twinpeak mt.) Enemies :Magician,Blue Soldier 1,Green Soldier 3,Herb Plant,Maneater,Red Soldier 1,Sleepie Sidequest:Go and collect the doctor if you have not done so.Go to where you met Jon,the treasure hunter on the top,along the way,you will notice that your raft is back so you can ride the raft anytime to get doctor if you have not done so.When you reached there,there will be hovering boulder.Use the power of the earth to shake loose the suspended boulder.Swing across the large gap by using jutting pegs in the mountain wall.Climb up to the mountain top,get the chest(rock)Now you can either climb back down the way that you came or you can jump over the edge by the waterfall and try to land on the raft in the middle, it's tricky but a quicker way down.There's rock (crystal) on the peak of the mountain which you can appraise.Sell it for 2500 Drans. You'll talk to Jon, the Treasure Hunter when you return,then go back to the pawn shop owner and let him look at what you found. Defeating the Earth Guardian Bincho Field:Knitter Lunchetta(on your way to Hell's valley) Next go to the castle and talk to old man.When you are done save your game and get sleep if needed. I recomend that you have lots of cheese,W-Gel and has already got all the minku in these levels before you go to fight the guardian.You will have to go back to "Hell's Valley".Note:by the time,you must have resecued at least 4,if not you can't opened the gate.The four people are Carpenter Carvey,Mercenary Meitlofe,knight Lardwick and Soldier Lardwick.Without any of them ,you won't be able to proceed to hell's valley to fight skullpion.go to hell's valley.Halfway down to hell's valley,you will come across a bincho field(Knitter Lunchetta) who will tell you about the legendary cloth.As you go along,use the Earth scroll ability to cause the boulders above to fall into the pits to acts a stepping stone.Waiting for the dead end are his four friends. 1st Crest Guardian:Skullpion Skullipon has five attacks: Spewing sand :You can avoid this by outrunning the stream and staying behind it.This is a great time to charge the gauge bar,providing you are far away from the sand stream. Ram :He will ram at you sometime.Just move around the area constantly to avoid. Tail sweep :It will swing its tail.Hop over it to avoid. Attack comrades:It will attack your comrades.Before your comrade is attacked,use Earth scroll to cause Earthquakes. Ground sweep :This attack consists of sticking its tail in the ground and making it pop up under Musashi's feet.Keep on moving once you see it stuck its tail in the dirt.If you get hit,not only damage but also poison but thanks you can cure the poison by either using an antidote that you bought from the store or shaking down antidote from the basket. Here's the strategy: Skullpion is smarter than average boss and will occasionally attempts to climb the walls and attack one of your comrades.If any of them is hurt or injured,they won't be able to assist you,making transport of items impossible.Now,your comrades will transport items like bombs,stones,herbs. Each bomb that hits the boss causes 10 HP and each large stone causes up to 100 HP.Use the Earth scroll ability to cause the items in the basket to tip over and fall on the boss.After repeatedly of hitting the boss,it will be unconsious and the core will immediately be revealed.Now,hit the core with lumina and repeat the procedure over again until it dies. Tips:You can pick up the large stone that lands on the ground and throw it at skullpion to cause damage to it. Minku:The same place where you fought skullpion Sidequest:After you have defeat the crest guardian,come back to the same spot where you fought it,there should be a minku.Also,pls return to the Earth crest through the left pipeline in the steamwood.Use the power of the earth and there will be a hidden path.The cliff will collapse.Climb up the cliff.You should see there is another fire crest.There is a Minku there. Congradulations, you have completed chapter 2.Remember to buy the last action figure for the series 2,that is Skullpion,of course. ____________________________________________________________________________ Chapter3:Saving Tim Technique:Crosswise Cut Sidequest:When you visit Knight Lardwick in the castle,he will now teach you crosswise Cut. Vambees Roaming the Village Once the crest guardian has been defeated you will return to the village and you will see the mayor and Hotelo outside the general store.Notice that all doors are closed and the chilling music sense an ominous feeling.During night time,you might see vambees roaming around the village but rest assured they can't hurt you.Ignore them.It appears that defeating earth guardian has set these creatures free.After the conversation with the Mayor and Hotelo, you should learn that Tim has contacted a disease and is on the verge of turning into a vambee if he doesn't get the remedy.The two items that needed to make the remedy are Misteria and Aqualin.The mayor will sent you to take Misteria from the underground lake while Hotelo will be sent to Twinpeak mountain from a spring at the top of the mountain to get Aqualin.Misteria is a flower that blooms in underground mine tunnel between 3.00a.m to 7.00a.m whereas Aqualin is the water from the peak of the mountain.First,to enter the mine,you will need the key from the man who lives in the windmill. Note:Vambees are half-vampire,half zombies developed by the Thirstquencher empire.Anyone who gets bitten by a vambee will be turned into a vambee after some ime.The only way is to make Grillin's traditional remedy to cure it and the ingredients are Misteria and Aqualin. Note:During this time when Hotelo is at the inn,visit the inn and choose the second option to talk to Motelo.Motelo is Hotelo's brother and he looks after the inn temporary when Hotelo is away. Getting the Mine Key Treasure:Mine key(from Wid) Wid has got some information about Misteria but unfortunately,Wid is a late sleeper and only wakes up at odd times of the day.He will open the door very late at night,usually around midnight.Wid will not open the door until 2300 or at 11 pm.For your info,you can find him inside the windmill between 11pm to 11am.You have to wait up early in the morning.Knock on the door by pressing square and he should come out of the house.After a conversation,he should give you the key.Next,open the door that is locked in the village near the restaurant and go inside the mine. Inside the Mines Bincho Field:Carpenter Dicey(bottom middle of the conveyor belt room) Knight Brisket(top-left of conveyor belt room) Enemies :B-eater,Sphere Bat, Turn right at the intersection of the wooden sign,follow it,climb the pole past the wooden Toad Stool.In the next area,leads to wooden walkways and spinning contraptions where you have to cross the ferris wheels.It requires some timing and is easy.Hop onto one of the passing platforms,time yourself the jump so that you are high enough to land safely.Missing the platform, will send Musashi tumbling onto the black void below,causing some damage. Make the neccessary jumps. Next,you will come to the big fan.Warning,do not go to the other end if you have not collected Misteria.This is the way to the exit.Hover above the fan and slip through the blades when the fan stops spinning.Don't worry,the blades will not casue any damage.Jump down the fan to the underground.Save your memory on the memory box.Go the left path.Don't go the right path.When you enter the room,you will see many conveyor belts and some wooden platform.Note that there are two bincho fields in this room,one on the top left of the screen(Knight Brisket)and another one in the bottom middle.(Carpenter Dicey)Save them.Now,run and jump.Don't fall.Musashi can't fly either. Tips:If Musashi is tired,he will have an extremely difficult time jumping against these fast-moving conveyor belt.It's best to relieve himself by giving him some mint and Hi-mint or take a short nap.Don't force yourself too much or you will end up wasting your HP.Trust me,it will be much more easy after taking a nap than when you are very tired. Collecting Misteria. Bincho field:Chief Gravie(one of the surrounding 4 islands) Cook Mary-Nade(in the centre big island) Minku :One of the surrounding 4 islands Treasures :Old Glove(one of the surrounding 4 islands) Misteria(in the centre big island) In the middle will be a big island and surrounding the island will be 4 small islands.Use the lilly pad,get to the middle island to get Misteria. You can sleep until it blooms.Bring one to two antidote.There is a risk of gettting poison.In the middle of the island,there is also another bincho field.(Cook Mary-Nade)You have to use the lilly pad to get to it.There are 3 surrounding islands.Once after taking the misteria,jump on the lilly pad. There are chest(Old gloves,i think),another bincho field(Chief Gravie), and a minku.Capture the minku once your HP runs low.This should regain all your HP.Next,exit and you are ready to leave.Exit the conveyer belt.If you have not rescued them,pls save them now.Go back to the memory box.leave your memory here.There will be a spot for you to climb up to the fan.Next,go to the right side with the help of the fan.This is the way to exit the mine. Now,exit your way.It's easy and you will make your way up.The exit is at the top-left of the screen.Be careful,don't fall into the binchotite mine or you will be poison.Ride up the elevator.Remember to jump carefully.Give the misteria to the mayor and the mayor will ask you to find Hotelo. Technique:Tenderize Sidequest:Go to the castle and talk to the 21st person,Knight Brisket to learn another fighting technique,Tenderize.The doctor is no #37 if you need to restore your health.He will give you SP-recover. Finding Hotelo and collecting Aqualin Treasure:Aqualin(peak of the Twinpeak mt),Rock(if not collected) Enemies :Refer to above Next,go to Twinpeak mountain.Make your way up as usual and you should find Hotelo in the cave.He is in despair and that Tim has only 12 hours left before he turns into the vampire.In the game,12 hours mean 12 minutes so you will have to move fast.Hotelo is disappointed with himself for not being able to save Tim.He said that it is too dangerous to go forward and it is fated that Tim will be turned into a vambee.There will be an option for you to choose.Choose the first option and the 12 minutes time will appear on the top-right side of the screen.Follow the same route where you meet Jon.You will see a boulder and use your Earth scroll to shake loose the suspended boulder if you hasn't.Then swing across the large gap by using the jutting pegs and climb up to the top of the mountain.For your information,Aqualin is the pond at the top of the mountain where you obtain the rock from the treasure.If you have not collected the rock,you can collect it from the chest now by jumping onto the ledge near the pole to reach to the other side of the pond to collect Aqualin.if you have collected rock,don't bother jumping the ledge.This is the quickest way to get Aqualin.Just climb up the pole and go near the pond to get Aqualin.Upon reaching the top,get aqualin. Next,take back aqualin to Hotelo and Tim is safe.Don't bother to kill the enemy.Conserve your time.When you return to the village,you will directly speak to the mayor and Hilda grocery shop.In return for saving Tim,you will receive an orange for free and the grocery shop will be opened. Note:If you failed to give Aqualin to Hotelo within 12 minutes,you can still take Aqualin and return to the village and the mayor will tell you that it is too late but he will also try to make use of the Aqualin and Misteria to make remedy and save Tim.However,you won't receive an orange for free and the grocery shop won't be opened until the next chapter at Chapter 4.You will have to wait until Chapter 4 to buy an orange to learn Shish kebab. Fear not,Tim will be saved by chapter 4 because by chapter 4 when you defeat the Relic Keeper,Tim will return to normal.Hotelo blames himself(at Chap 3) for not being able to save Tim.Feeling guilty,he decided to leave the village and left the inn and Mint under the care of his brother,Motelo. Noone knows where Hotelo has gone to.Motelo will say something like "It is a shame that Mint's father left the village".Everytime you enter the inn,you will see Motelo instead of Hotelo.If you managed to give Aqualin to Hotelo within 12 minutes,Motelo will not appeared at the inn.However,it doesn't affect the game's ending. Tips:You will noticed a cliff before where the sleepie is.Climb up there to reach to the top to save time.When you get Aqualin,you can also jump down from the same spot at the cliff to save time. Advice:It's best that you give Aqualin to Hotelo on time.Getting a free orange might not be a big deal,but think about this,the grocery shop will be closed for the rest of Chapter 3 and when you are inside the restaurant basement,you definitely need many healing HP items like C-Drinks,S-revive, Mints which are extremely useful.The bakery shop is another shop that sells healing items but most of the items there will spoil after several days and most doesn't healed a lot of HP.Besides,you get an orange earlier to learn Shish Kebab technique earlier which could be really helpful.I mean it!the only difference is that if you fail to give Aqualin,the inn will be replaced by Motelo instead of Hotelo.There isn't much difference and poor Mint having lose her father at an early age,do you bear to see her so sad?And besides,if you fail,all your healing items will depend on Yogurt,which only heals 50HP and 50BP when milk is spoil after few days in you inventory.It doesn't help you but only makes the game more tedious. Techniques:Shish Kebab Sidequest:Now,you have an orange in your inventory so go and talk to clown to learn a new technique The Vambees Next,talk to the girl in the bakery,Jam,chat with her by choosing the second option and she will talk about her father,Baker Towst going to the bar at 1800 or 6pm.Check your items,save,take a nap until 6pm.Then comes to the restaurant and you will talk to Jam's father,Towst and he mentioned that he missed the pork chop in the restaurant.He mentioned that the restaurant is closed,the shop owner is missing and the waitress is at the inn.Go to the inn and talk to the waitress,Wanda in room 205 and Macho in room 206.Now,go back to the restaurant until 2300.You will see ghosts coming out from the restaurant.Run inside before the the door is closed.Check the counter and enter the underground basement. Inside the Underground Basement You will noticed many soda bottles scattered around.Move furthur down and you will see Mannick,the restaurant owner.He will tell you that that the door with 4 eyes will lead to the boss.You will have to find a way to open the door.Visit the four doors with one eye.Once you obtain the blue eye,the eye will open up.Collect four and the door will open.Mannick will restore your health by giving you a cake.There's a memory box so check it out.I will first explain the first room from his left. Tips:Even if Mannick's cake can take care of your low HP and BP but it doesn't have any effects on Musashi's tiredness.You will need to have some mints. Room 1.(to the left):Bowler Plant Maze Bincho Field:Mercenary Potrowst(crackled wall) Treasures :Shield(crackled wall) Odd Hat(crackled wall) Enemies :Bowler,Vambee,Fire vambee Dodge the huge bowling seeds coming from the bowlers and reached the end. Absorb the bowling skills from the bowler.Consumes 10BP.There is a crackled room behind the bowler next to the wall that you can climb.There is a treasure in this crackled wall.(Shield)Use holes to avoid being hit by the bowling ball.You will be in a room with a bowler,break the wall to the right with a bowling ball.Go and stand on the square and bowl down the vambee to cool down the floor.The floor is very hot and you need to bowl the vambees to advance.Go through the door at the end, get the bincho field,(Mercenary Potrowst),take the treasure(Odd Hat) on the right wall by bowling,come out and take the elevator up.There will be an eye who will splash fire against you.Use Lumina Rotation by holding R1 when full and then triangle to smash it to pieces.Go into the room,get another bincho field,(Mercenary Stue)and take the eye orb.Restore your health by talking to Mannick. Tips:The bowl ability can be fustrated to use becasue it consumes a lot of BP,10 per bowl.How do you ensure that your bowling balls hit the correct target?All right,you will noticed a meter on the far right side of the ball.The pointer will keep on moving from left to right.If you press circle when the pointer is on the right side of the meter,the ball will curve to the right and similar for the left side.It's best to press circle when the pointer is at the center of the meter to ensure that every shot is a straight. Treasures:Old Sword,500Drans,Old Cloth(crackled wall) Sidequest:Once you have the skill to bowl,go to room 3 and 4.Don't enter. Look around and you will see a crackled wall.Bowl the wall to get the 3 hidden chest inside.i think the cloth(when appraised becomes L-cloth)is also one of the three chests. Room 2( to the right):Teleporter Maze Bincho Field:Bailiff Jerky(Take the right path) Enemies :Ooze,Wisp,Lamp Bat,Vmbee You will cross some moving platforms.This is easy.Keep jumping and don't fall down if not you will have to restart again.Take the right path,killed the zombie.Note:Do not come too close to the vambee.It will suck up your blood.use sword to attack or avoid it.It will do up to 40 to 90 damage.Go down and exit.Avoid the touching the glowing blue ball(Wisp)but use it as a source of light.Use the poles to advance.Get the bincho field.(Bailiff Jerky)Go back to the beginning and take the left path.Kill the vambees and entered the room.Instead of coming to a room with poles you will have missing floor panels.Get through and take the right teleportation.make your way and you will come to another room with 2 teleportation circles.This time,take the left one.Walk furthur and you will come to another room ,again with two teleportation.Take the left one and go up to get the eye orb. Remember to take the powder. Teleport:Right,left,left. *Taking the alternate one will teleport you back to the exit. Tips:If you are good,you can assimilate the Lamp bats to learn firefly so you can light your way.Also,if you absorbed B.O from the vambees,the bats and lamp bats won't attack you temporary.Avoid the enemies at all cost in the darkened room as the darkness will put you to a very disadvantage situation. Room 3(left side of the other end.):Fire Maze Bincho Field:Librarian Brisketta(in the second room) Soldier Hanky-Flanky(at the fire maze in the bottom screen) Treasures :Old Pipe(at the fire maze) Enemies :Cursefire,Flying vambee,Fire Vambee,Vambee One of the greatest challenges in the maze is crossing the rotating blocks. The first two rooms is easy but gets more and more tougher in the later room.Practise in the first two rooms so that you are prepared in the later room.Jump across the rotating blocks in the first two rooms,get the bincho field (Librarian Brisketta)in the second one.You will go through a couple of more rooms with rotating blocks.There will be a room with swinging blades. Avoid getting hit.The next room will have the blades,rotating blocks,and a vambee.You will come to a series a of planks, go far right to get a ball to restore your BP.Go back left to the get another one and go to the stone landing.Follow it around to the rotating block and keep going down and get the bincho field(Hanky-Flanky)and heart,jump on the block,go right to get the chest(Old Pipe),go down and get the heart and to exit.This room will have smaller landings,some swinging blades,and cursefire.Jump carefully.Good luck!The eye orb is in the next room. Tips:The rotating blocks can be fairly easy to hop across by jumping against the direction they are turning.You won't fall off a block that is turning sideways if you hop across in the opposite direction.Just remain steady and jump onto the side facing upwards whenever the block is turning over. Room 4:Ghost Maze Bincho Field:Carpenter Cubey(in one of the maze) knight Chucks(the secret path beneath the circle) Treasures :Helmet(in one of the maze) Enemies :Lone Mist Phew!This is the final one.Restore your HP and BP by talking to Mannick.Jump across, go up and get pass the vambees. Run straight through the next two rooms avoiding the enemies.THe door will remain shut until you can move the blocks to the squares.The first one is easy.The second room,Top to top right,middle to bottom left, bottom to top left.Top to top right, middle to bottom left, bottom to top left.There will be a room with falling and sliding blocks,be careful.You will see a ghost.Tips:Use fusion to steal sublime skill from it.Consumes 8BP.Your soul can float around temporary to look for chests.later,when you walk,it should be in complete darkness.You can't see the path.Use sublime to get a look of the place.Try to follow a certain pattern.Do the same in the next few rooms to get a chest(Helmet) and release a bincho field.(Carpenter Cubey)Now,you will come to the end before taking the last blue eye.You will see a circle somewhere.Jump from this circle to the bottom path.there is a hidden room to another bincho field. (Knight Chucks)use the teleport to return to where the circle was.Go to the left path and take the eye orb. Collecting the next legendary armor,L-belt Treasures:Old Belt Go to the door with the four eyes.You should see Mannick missing.Open the door and you will find Mannick inside.Go to him and he will say that he bought this restaurant because he heard about the treasure inside.When he opened the chest,he found a old belt.Mannick was very disappointed and thought he could struck rick.he gave the belt to Musashi.Next,go into the castle and talk to the 36th person,the knight.He should teach you his fencing technique,the Desperado Attack.Now,go back to the pawn shop and appraise this belt and it should turn into the legendary belt.You can now make double jumps by pressing X twice. Technique:Desperado Attack Sidequest:Talk to Knight Chucks in the castle and he will teach you Desperado Attack. Well After you come out of the shop,the restaurant owner,Mannick,says that he is very sorry for what he has done and would like to make up to the villagers by opening his restaurant and will do his best to make the restaurant the best in the village.(Hey!That's only one restaurant in the village.So you could consider yourself to be the best.)he would talk that he went to the well to collect water but the well is dried up.You would have to find a rope to get down to the well. Bincho Field:Weaver Dineretta(from the third log) Treasures :L-glove or L-quilt Enemies :Refer to above Sidequest:Remember i told you about the third log in the Twinpeak mountain that you cut down?There is a bincho field on the right side of the pole which can only be accessed after you got the double jump.Now,go to there, climb up to the top of the pole and jump to the right.You should see it as you jump.Don't panic if you cannot jump to the other side for the first time.if Musashi is tired,just let him rest until tiredness reaches 20%. Musashi would jump slightly better if he is not tired compared to when he is very tired.Jump over and saved weaver.Note:at this point of the game,you should have cloth which when you appraise becomes the legendary cloth.Talk to weaver in the castle and she will make Option 1)a quilt for you or Option 2)glove.I choose quilt instead of glove and i got another legendary armor. This is a must.The effects are every time,you sleep you will regain both HP and BP,instead of gaining HP and losing BP and the best parts are it regains at twice the normal speed and you can make tiredness to 0%.If you sleep in the inn or at your room,you will be able to have tiredness from 0%.however, if you are sleeping outside the inn,or anywhere,the min tiredness can goes up to 20% and won't dropped furthur down.if it is below 20%,when you are sleeping outside the inn or room,your tiredness % will stay and when you get up ,it will rise up to 20 and above.Note:that it will take weaver three days to make.Collect the legendary quilt after three days.If you choose gloves, you will get the Legendary Gloves which will increses critical attack %. I advise you to choose Legendary Quilt as it will help you in many ways during adventure and you can save a lot of money from buying Mint,however, L-quilt is useless when you reach soda fountain at the final stage.Don't worry about that first. Getting a Rope The rope can be obtained from the church.the gate is locked and you will have to climb over the fence.You should see the father sleeping outside.he says that the church to the inside is locked and he can't get in.Also,the church bell is lost aand he will ask you to find it.Because he was afraid of the ghost that would come in,he has locked the gate.He says that he has heard noises coming out from the church at 2am.So come back at 2am.he will let you climb on his back and you will have to jump inside the church from the roof. Inside the Church. Enemies:Vambee Soldier After a conversation with Bubbles,you will have to fight a tons of vambee soldiers. Survive the battle until sunrise and you will be able to get the rope. Tips:You can also consider use Earth Scroll ability to stun them for a while.Use lumina and keep attacking.If possible,throw them out to the outer ring.Try and perfect your crosswise technique. Inside the Well Treasures:Angel-Shaped Statue Get the water scroll.You should learn the water element.You can create a shield of bubbles to protect you from fires or floats on water temperory or bubbling rapid bubbles by pressing square or triangle.Find the bell and keep tossing to the exit at the northern reservoir.You will noticed that it leads to the mine.Note you can't climb up the rope while carrying the bell because it is too heavy.Notice that is a minku there.You can't get it now but later. The only way to exit is to go the underground tunnel.When you get back to the village,you will get an Angel-Shaped Statue that is the key to the fire god.Note:When throwing the bell,make sure you don't toss it into the water or too close to the exit.If Musashi leaves the exit without holding the church bell,it will get reset to the room's entrance or to th original starting point. Treasures :200Drans(If not collected) Bincho Field:Doctor Tung(If you don't have) Minku :Between the first and second wooden bridge in Somnolent Left of where Doctor Tung is Enemies :Refer to above Sidequest:If you don't have the Doctor,this is the shortcut way to get him without riding the raft.Go to the twinpeak until you reached the three poles.Don't JUMP.Use water shield to go left of the water and you should be able to rescue Doctor.Go furthur left again in the water and you will see Minku.If you have not collected the 200Drans in Hell's valley near where the Bracelet is,when you reached the entrance of twinpeak mt,simply use water scroll and float to the right to climb up the cliff.Go to Somnolent forest where the second bridge is.Use water scroll ability and there is a minku between the first bridge and the second bridge. Tips:Once you have the water scroll,take some time to float in the waters in Twinpeak mt and explore the place.Once you have water scroll,you can travel by shortcut but i don't want to tell you now.Explore it yourself. Finding the use of the Statue. Wait till midnight until zombies come out of the restaurant.Go into the restaurant underground basement.Walk straight down.You will notice that there is a door with big gaps that you can't reached.Before you jump, remember to leave your memory in the memory box.Go back up to the entrance but don't go out.Run straight down.The higher you run,keeps dashing,the faster you move and jump over the big gap using double jump to open the door.Of all the levels up to now,i find here to have the most difficult jumps.Ther's more.Remember to watch your tiredness %.if lucky a few tries, you might be able to jump over.if not,keep trying.Good luck.This is the only way.Be sure to have tons of C-Drinks and at least one S-revive and a cheese that has been with you for a long time.Sell away unwanted items and buy HP and BP recovery item. Defeating the 2nd Crest Guardian Ist Room The Ist room is the easiest of all.Use the Water to create shields of bubbles around to float on the water.Go to the door. 2nd Room It gets more and more difficult.Just jump.But two things to take note. Remember to watch your tiredness %.if your tiredness % is high,you might not be able to jump farther than you did.Second note is to have shield of bubbies around you before you jump just in case you fall.The shield will protect you and you would not get hurt from the fire,however the shield will disappear.And if you failed to jump over without the shield,you will get over 20 damage.Note that this shield only protects you from fire,the bats will still be able to hurt you.Jump and reached for the exit. 3rd Room Bincho Field:Taster Salmonelli Enemies :CurseFire,Vambee This is more challenging and of course,the toughiest.Jump keep moving.Remember there is a bincho field.(Taster Salmonelli) Make sure you collect them. Hints and tips: 1)Be sure to have the water shield with you all the time to protect you from fire. 2)Along the way,you will have to jump from block-to-block.The block will sink when you jumps onto them(weight,of course.)So quickly jump to the other block. 3)Along the way,you will see cursefire coming toward you.Run away to a good position and use rapid bubble shooting to extinguish the fires.It can cause quite a decent damage. 4)You should see a rotating blocks with pits.Avoid getting too close.watch the pattern. 5)There are 2 pit holes here.Jump onto them and it will do around 20 damage on you.Use double jump to jump over.Be carefull. 4th Room This is the one of the easier.You will noticed four flames.Use bubbles to extinguish the flames from a corner.Once each flame is extinguish,it becomes darker.Once the four flames are extinguish,the door to the battle of the 2nd crest guardian will opened up. 2nd Crest Guardian:The Relic keeper Musashi will laugh at it because the ceilings have started to collapse and call it a loser.Now,the main strategy to attack. You will noticed about a fire demon who will keep attacking you.Use the water,create a shield round you and keeps using bubbles against it.keep running from side to side while using the rapid bubbles.When it suddenly turns blue,he will keep attacking you.It will does quite a lot of damage. Many hits on the fire demon will cause the ceiling to continue collapse until the Relic keeper gets knocked out.During this time,his blue torso will be revealed.Quickly,go to menu,choose normal and use jump,then lumina.Hold R1 first,jump then prss triangle.This should give him some damage.Remember to attack fast because after some time,the relic keeper will wake up,so does the fire demon.Repeat the procedure over again,keep shooting bubbles at the fire demon,until Relic keeper gets knocked out again,then use lumina to attack its torso.Three hits in its torso and he will be gone. Congradulations,you have completed Chapter 3. ____________________________________________________________________________ Chapter 4:The Duel at Dragon Island Note:Tim will be saved now(even if you fail to give Aqualin to Hotelo within 12 minutes)because you defeated the vambees and Relic Keeper at Chapter 3. Techniques:Shish kebab Sidequest:If you failed to give Aqualin to Hotelo,you can buy orange from the grocery store now.Talk to Clown to learn Shish kebab. First Task When you first returned to town,knock on the mayor's house and talk to Mrs Govern,the mayor's wife.she will tell you that the mayor has a cold and she wants you to check out the well.Additional:You can check out the well first before talking to the Mrs Govern.So go inside the well but make sure check your items first and appraise any items that you have find. Inside the Well Treasures:Used boots(inside the well), Old shirt(inside the well), Armor(inside the tunnel) Minku :Inside the well on a ledge You will see the water crest glowing.Go there and use the water scroll.The water to the cave will be emptied while the other side(where the rope is) will rise.Then enter Ed and Ben.There will be a conversation and Musashi overheard their conversation and they are the thieves behind the stolen bell in the church. After they leave 1)Go and get the chest(used boots) on the right side. 2)Go back pass the water crest,use your water scroll to get the other chest. (Old Shirt)When Old shirt is appraised,it becomes L-vest. 3)Go get the minku.The minku that you previously could not get,can now be captured. 4)Enter the tunnel and get the chest(armor)near the end look at the fire crest.Remember this spot.You have to come again after you got fire scroll and defeat the fire guardian.
