I thought that maybe people would like to have a translation of the blue magic in FFVj, so here it is. It's not complete, but it will have to do until I have some more free time. Then again, the only things that I want to add are which monsters you can get each spell from, and more on what the effects of each spell are, as my japanese is not all that great, and I didn't fully test all of them. Anyway, here is my list of the blue magic from FFVj (ver. 1). With all of that said, here is my list of the blue magic from Final Fantasy V! Name Hiragana/katakana English (roughly) Effect ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- しのせんこく Death Sentence Target enemy gets a thirty count until they die しのルーレット Death's Roulette The pointer goes from friends to foes, and where it stops nobody knows (ugh! sorry.. ;) アクアブレス Aqua Breath A water attack on all enemies レベル5デス Level 5 Death Enemies with levels that are multiples of 5 (5, 10, 15...) die レベル4グラビガ Level 4 Gravi Ga Enemies with levels that are multiples of 4 (4, 8, 12...) have their HPs reduced to 3/4 their current amount レベル2オールド Level 2 Old Enemies... (you know) have old cast upon them レベル3フレア Level 3 Flare Enemies... have flare cast upon them かえるのうた Frog Song Enemies are turned into frogs ちいさなメロディ Small Melody Casts Miniman on enemies フラッシュ Flash Blinds enemies タイムスリップ Time Sleep Ages and puts to sleep (I'm not really sure of this) つきのふえ Moon's Promotion (?) Everybody in your party goes berzerk デスクロー Death Claw Reduces target's HP to single digit and sometimes paralyses them エアロ Aero Wind elemental attack エアロラ Aero 2 Stronger wind attack エアロガ Aero 3 Strongest of the Aeros かえんほうしゃ Fiery Emission A stream of fire hits one enemy ゴブリンパンチ Goblin Punch Hits target (seems useless, but it costs no MPs to use, and it can hit enemies with high evade percent) くろのしょおげき Black Shock Target's level is halved ガードオファ Guard off Target's guard is lowered ゆうごう Fusion Like Pep Up in FF3 (revives a friend, but caster dies) マインドブラスト Mind Blast I'm not sure, it causes damage, and the caption says something about absorbing brains： 「のうみそを すいとられた」 きゅうけつ Blood Suck Caster steals random amount of HP from target マジックハンマー Magic Hammer Target loses 1/2 current MP マイティガード Mighty Guard Casts Safe, Shell, and Levitate on all members of the party じばく Suicide Bomb Does damage to target equal to caster's current HP, caster dies ？？？？ "????" Basic non-elemental attack spell.
