Watch a Director’s Cut Video for Bard’s Tale IV

The creative director from inXile Entertainment, David Rogers, has provided a sneak peak for the upcoming Director’s Cut of The Bard’s Tale IV. In the video, Rogers explains the team has listened to fan’s comments to create a definitive edition of the game. Included in the list of improvements are new areas to explore, new equipment, songs, gender options, along with quality of life improvements such as balance adjustments, pacing, bug fixes, and graphical upgrades. Permadeath has also been added. The Bard’s Tale IV: Director’s Cut will be releasing in the summer of 2019 for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.

The Bard’s Tale IV came out in 2018 on PC after being revived through Kickstarter. The first-person RPG focuses on a player-created hero, who rises up against a faction that persecutes non-human races. The Director’s Cut promises to add over four hours of new content to explore.
