Based in the Ragnarok MMO world, this screen-tapping action RPG offers a solid single-player experience. Thankfully, this will feature a local or Wi-Fi multiplayer co-op dungeon as well.

Digital for PSN, but releasing on disc for the Xbox 360, this tactical RPG with a breeding system is the risqué version from Japan with a hefty number of scantily clad females to marry.

Resonance of Fate

Sega's team up with tri-Ace is hitting early in 2010 complete with a gun toting, original turn-based battle system. This dual platform release is also featuring lots of cinematic cutscenes.


Risen (Xbox 360) - Deep Silver

This hit retail for PC late in 2009, but the 360 was delayed. Hard to say if anything new will be added, as the European 360 version is out. Regardless, 360 owners can explore the island soon.

Sakura Wars: So Long, My Love

This RPG-meets-dating sim has been stuck in Japan for years, but is finally coming to North America. This may be the fifth main series game and a few years old, but just be glad it's coming.

This Sega and imageepoch title has some key staff from Xenogears. This release is said to have been tweaked from the Japanese version with some difficulty and soundtrack changes.

Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey

A very unique blend of SMT and Etrian Odyssey. It removed map creation elements, but adds in a dark SMT setting, demons, and moral choices. A recipe for success on the DS.

Shiren the Wanderer

The most accessible Shiren game to date. Levels are maintained throughout, and this offers an easy mode where Shiren can keep all of his items as well. Oh and a 1000 floor dungeon.

Spectral Force Genesis

More hardcore world simulation game than RPG, this title will have players worrying about keeping their country together more than simply battling evil foes.
