Death surrounds thee!

Burn, baby, burn!

It just wouldn't be an RPG without the dragon.

Divine Divinity

Imagine for yourself the game Diablo as a young man fallen in love, with, say, Baldur's Gate his eternally loving wife. Divine Divinity is their unique lovechild, combining the dungeon crawling gameplay elements of Diablo, with the deep story, extensive plot and length of Baldur's Gate.

Developer Larian Studio has take freedom to a whole new level in Divine Divinity allowing games to manipulate just about everything in site with their characters. You see that over there? Doesn't really matter what it is, most likely you can move it, pick it up, or do something else with it. The plot focuses around a divine being, Divinity, being summoned by the very group she was prophecized to destroy. After being attacked by the cult, she lay in many pieces across the world. Of course, one of them happens to land in you.

While gameplay- and visual-wise, Divine Divinity looks much like Diablo, if one looks at the length of the game, 50 hours to finish rushing, 200-plus doing everything, RPGamers will realize the stunning polish that Divine Divinity has, and why it was so easily propelled so high on our list.
