Oh dear. Um, Lorelai isn't here anymore. She had to disappear for a while. She mumbled something about the return of the some alien since it's near the millenium and that the FBI was on to her. But she left a message telling me to do this update, so you'll have to put up with me this week. Enjoy!

A Word on Today's Fanart:
Wow. Lots of Final Fantasy VII and VIII art. And a Xenogears one too. I'm sure that one got in because of Billy. Lorelai really likes Billy pictures. =) There still is variety even though we're limited to Final Fantasy. There's Wulfmune's pensive Sephiroth and a comical scene of poor Cloud by Felix. Another funny one by Fenix of Squall and Seifer, a group picture by Maggie Bradshaw, a somber Raine by Meriko, and Min Kwon's pic of Selphie and Quistis having fun in the sun this winter! (that probably means they're in Australia)
I'm not an art major/artist/a person with any art ability whatsoever so I'm not really qualified to critique the art or anything. I'll just say they all are really good!

never really tackled many of the characters in FF7 because everyone else always gave them plenty of attention. now that the fad has kind of died down i figured people wouldn't mind seeing my rendition. the usual markers, i was a little inaccurate with the costume, couldn't find a good pic of him handy. forgive me!In truth, this pic's a bit old, seeing as how it was created a couple of months ago when I was still getting the hang of Photoshop 5. I was trying to create a sort of FMV-like look for two of the latest Final Fantasy leading ladies, and this was the result. Ah, well, at least it looks kinda tolerable. ^^;; The original version was *way* bigger and had more resolution. There's an alternate red/blue version of this pic, as well as wallpaper versions, since it turned out so darned huge... ^_^

For this fanart, I use my style of SD character to describe the love triangle in Final Fantasy (I heard that you can date Yuffie and Barret in the game..... wonder if I want to add them into the art :) ). I use colour pencils because (in my opinion) it will make it a little cuter :).

Ahh...another picture of Billy and Primera...cute-!!! I just love doodling in Photoshop! This was my first attempt to color a background *Primera* in a grey-scale. I just got really bored one night and decided to draw another one of my many pics of Billy. I still think Primera is a bit scary with those red eyes..*shivers* @_@

Here's a nice little piccy I did to get me going again. Lately I've been rushing and trying to finish pictures in one sitting. Since I love the characters in FFVIII I decided they would be the model for my multi-day picture! And here is the result. Lots of patience and time and I'm pretty proud of how it came out! The stunning Liberi Fatali song and the opening FMV inspired me to draw this. You know when Squall slashed Seifer, his Gunblade's blade scratched the ground and slashed Seifer's face. Seifer's wound could be infected.. So, both of them are being treated at the Infirmary and Dr. Kadowaki is about to inject Seifer with some medical liquid. And Squall is laughing his head off.. ^^

*sob* Oh, poor Raine! This woman moves me almost as much as Quistis. She's a strong character, evidenced in her letting Laguna go. Yet I can't help but think that she had moments like this, in which she longs for him, and feels so alone. *sniffle* I put eeny weeny details in the bubble/rain part, but since I had to shrinky dink, much of it has been lost. FYI, I tried to have raindrops and bubbles all around her, and a "water-on-glass" type effect in her silhouette.

I usually do cheap filterings or stick in some photo for backgrounds, but this time, I drew/colored it myself. I think it looks okay ^^ I'm particularly pleased with the way Quistis' hair came out. Shiny... Selphie's hair looks alright, but could have more details. Their bodies were drawn VERY wrongly, but I think the coloring kinda covered it. ^^;;;;
