  Artist of the Week
Annie Felis
E-mail | Webpage

Annie Felis began submitting artwork quite a while ago, but her works never quite landed into my posting bin. Like the true artist she is, however, she never gave up: If I were to post her first submission and her very latest - Azala, from Chronotrigger - side by side, you would see the enormous improvements she has made. GREAT work, Annie, you make the art community proud! I accolade you on your latest work not only because of your originality and creativity, but your achievements ^_^

Welcome

Ohayo gozaimasu! Watashi no namae wa Lorelai desu. Anatano namae wa? Hajimemashite, dozo yoroshiku! Hehe. Guess who's taking Japanese 1A in college. So anyway, I just said (in very bad japanese, no doubt...not to even MENTION the horrible translation into english characters...) Hi! My name is Lorelai. What's your name? Nice to meet you! YAAAY me and my wonderful Japanese!!! ^_^;;;

From The Heart Cookie Jar

Hey there all, I changed my mind about the way the newsletter "Prozac Cookies" is going to work. Here's the plan: anyone and everyone can submit their artwork for a critique. They can also pick, from a panel of available critiquers, WHO they want to critique their work. This way, the artist can personally ask someone whom they admire to critique their work. For example, if I really like so-and-so's artwork and style, I'd ask him/her to be on the panel of artists to critique my work. Sound good? Well now I need a big database of willing critiquers. So far, I got Keiii (Min Kwon), Amber Michelle, and Arion McBride. My newsletter e-mail is wide open: please volunteer! (It'd be best if you could show me some of your artwork too, or have gotten art posted on RPGamer before.) Hmmm...this isn't really even a newsletter anymore...

Inspired Lorelai!

Send Lorelai some inspirational notes, please; my cookie jar is empty.

Leftover Cookies

  • Newsletter: Anyone interested in subscribing to my soon-to-be-circulating newsletter, based off of the discontinued "Critique Corner" (it's name is Prozac Cookies!) please send an e-mail to lorelai@rpgamer.com with NEWSLETTER in the subject line! This newsletter may take some time to get off the ground...ahem, I AM interested in artist helpers for critiques. ^_^ E-mail me if you are too!

  • Ask Lore: Like always, I'm opening up my Lifestream e-mail to personal questions, whether it be related to RPGamer, my other jobs, my goals, nigel, my school, or my pet dog Bobby. Anything that's not inappropriate or too private. Go ahead, Ask Lore. ^_^

  • Aeris Gainsborough and Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy VII
    " Forever "
    Artwork by Karura

    Comments: TThis is my tribute to Aeris. It is done using pigment liner and Photoshop 5.0. I started doing this right after dinner and finished around two o'clock in the morning and my neighbor's dog keeps barking the whole time... Hmm, I think I'm ranting away... again... ^^;;;;;

    Sephiroth from Final Fantasy VII
    " Target "
    Artwork by Becky (Hydrachild)

Comments: This is super-bishounen Sephiroth. I suppose it borders on the obcessive-compulsive line. I wasn't too happy with the way his face came out, and my markers all dried up by the end of his skin! >:( All in all, I dont think I've ever seen Seph depicted like this before, but it's sort of how I see him.. kind of creepy, but oh-so beautiful! ^_^*

Fei, Id, and The Coward of Xenogears
" Schizophrenic: Figment of the Imagination "
    Artwork by Sandara-3

    Comments: (no comments available)

    Azala of Chrono Trigger
    " Azala "
Artwork by Annie Felis (artist of the week)

Comments: The second pic is of Azala from Chrono Trigger. I always thought that he was cool, even though he DID do something stupid like summon Lavos. Colored with Prismacolor pencils, and background cheaply flood-filled with PSP.

Celes Chere of Final Fantasy VI
    " Leaving the Empire "
    Artwork by Ryuuzaki

Comments: I wanted to draw her with a quiet and mysterious personality. I don't think the game told us exacly why she left the Empire, except that she didn't like what they were doing. So I guess this would be her taking a last look at her [snoring] jailor and the prison cell she was in? She kinda looks like Sephy when he turns around in the fire....ohohohoho~~~!! Sephy~! *o*

Cloud Strife of Final Fantasy VII
    " Contemplation "
    Artwork by Sandara-3

Comments: this will be my last fanart submission till i start FF8 in october or later....i suppose you guys must be sick of my art...^__^;;; this is Cloud, looking at the destruct materia Sephiroth gave him, thinking about his past adventures...

    Emilia of Saga Frontier
    " Emilia "
    Artwork by GlassShard

Comments: Just an old fanart I did last year.

    Wynn of Lunar: Magic School
    " Green Day "
    Artwork by Min Kwon (Beeho/Keiiii)

Comments: My first Painter work. Wynn doesn't wear tux in the game, but I thought he'd look cute in it. ^^ He's my favorite character in Magic School. I love shy boys in games. This picture isn't great, but it's just my first try of Painter (Yes, this pic was done before the Emeralda pic).

Jessica of Lunar: Silver Star Story
    " Jessica "
    Artwork by Becky (Hydrachild)

Comments: Please don't laugh at my cheezy attempt at computer-enhanced graphics. To be honest, I haven't even played Lunar yet. I'm such a slacker it hurts to breathe. Out of all the character designs, I liked Jessica's the best, I guess thats why I chose her.

Leon Magus of Tales of Destiny
    " Leon "
    Artwork by Wulfmune

Comments: my favorite character from tales of destiny. i love how feminine and young he looks yet he has a very serious attitude. his feminine looks lend themselves easily to my style. ^_^ prisma color, adobe photoshop

Red XIII, Barret, and Yuffie of Final Fantasy VII
    " Red's Bad Day "
    Artwork by Tana

Comments: You know, for someone who has never played Final Fantasy 7, I sure seem to like the characters don't I? ^_^; I had so much fun drawing both of these pictures. With "Earth and Fire" I wanted to portray a truely disturbing scene between these too oppisites. It took a lot of work, a week to draw and color Sephiroth and Aerith by hand, 2 computers to make the fire, and one more to put it all together. But it was worth it. I was more happy when I created "Red's Bad Day," based off of an idea that one of my friens thought of. Don't ask me why Yuffie's clinging to Barret's arm, I needed someone to be laughing, and Aerith wasn't the sort, and Tifa wouldn't um...fit. I had drew the outline of the bar, then colored it on my computer just because I was a little lazy and crunched for time. But it turned out pretty well I think. Hope you enjoy!

    Zell of Final Fantasy VIII
    " Little Zell Packs a Punch! "
    Artwork by Maggie Bradshaw

Comments: Here's a little experiment with movement and perspective using one of my FAV chars from the new ff8! I wonder why there's not much art of him! He's sooo awsome! That hair! whoa baby! < wink wink> ^_^

    Warlock of Masters of Monsters
    " Warlock "
    Artwork by Wulfmune

Comments: this is the warlock from masters of monsters, my personal fav master from the game. i just like his design and character in general. think i screwed up on some of the inking though..prisma color and adobe photoshop
