Welcome

Helloooo and Welcome! Now, before I kneel down and humble myself before all my loyal fanart fans because of my uncalled for temper tantrum last week, I just wanted to assure you that I am never as mad as I make myself sound. Seeing my words, and not hearing my voice, tends to make people think that I'm pissed off for life, when I assure you I am not. Well, that being said, here goes...(Lorelai kneels down and begs the forgiveness of all her loyal art fans) Hmm maybe I should add that big anime ::sweatdrop:: for aesthetic purposes...
From The Heart

Weee, thanks for all the letters to my Lifestream e-mail that were full of kind words and encouragement. It's an audience like you that keeps me updating each week...but of course you don't need me to remind you of how great you all are. (Lorelai does the bow-down-and-beg-forgiveness thing again) Anyway! School starts next Monday for me, so it'll be some tough scheduling again...please forgive me if I'm a tad late sometimes, I promise I will always at least notify you if my art update is to be late. ^_^ ....OOh...Voyager's gonna be on 5 days a week... ::drooool::
Inspired Lorelai!

Weeee! We all made up cutesy titles for ourselves at staff this week, just for fun. Say hello to Lorelai, the Priestess of Fanart! (Though I prefer to be called Patroness of Fanart)...Huh? Oh! Inspirational notes! Ahhh...um....well.....ahhh....draw a picture of the Patroness of Fanart? Hehehe. Ok that was lame. Sorry, I guess I'm not inspired today. ^_^

Thanks! So many people have been following my Submission Guideline Rules that my job has become a lot easier and less time consuming! I just wanted to thank those of you who took the time to help me out so much!!! Arigato!!!
Warning: If I so much as see ONE flame about me being addicted to Voyager I'm going to sic Seven of Nine on you all. And then I'll tell you that I'm also addicted to DS9. Oops...

Please e-mail me if you're interested. Aeris Gainsborough of Final Fantasy VII
" Forget Me Not "
Artwork by Chris Bunag
Comments: This being my first stab at an all-CG drawing (I recently bought a Wacom Intuos Tablet), it took me a long time doing this in Photoshop. Sure,
Aerith is old news, and the angel thing isn't anything new, but I wanted
to give it a try as well. Also, Aerith is my fave FFVII character, so I
wanted her to be my first all-CG project. I love the way the feathers
glow...they look so pretty. ^_^

Cecil, Rydia, Kain, Rosa, and Edge from Final Fantasy IV
" Sacred Power "
Artwork by Aywren
Comments: I've had this one sitting about for a while, and just decided to send it in. Basically, it's a tribute to the final four warriors of Final Fantasy IV, Cecil, Rydia, Kain, Rosa, and Edge, and that infamous quote "Let your sacred power be with the Crystal!" just as they are on the brink of their last confrontation. I had a good deal of fun with this one, especially the magic effects... the flame around Edge's hands to be exact!

Emeralda of Xenogears
" Crescens "
Artwork by Min Kwon
Comments: : Doing this picture almost poked my eyeballs out. Imagine this -
it's a couple hours before sunrise. All dark, lights turned off. I'm sitting
in front of the monitor, BLINDINGLY bright, and I'm constantly changing the
color of the light. Red to green to purple to yellow, all epileptically
seizuringly bright. I finally settled down with this color scheme. Well, I
guess popping out my eyeballs constantly did pay; I like this picture. ^^
Why does she has wings there? Refer to the title of the picture, Crescens,
which is the name of her gear. ^_- (Not to mention she CAN make her hairs in
the shape of anything including wings...)
One last thing to comment: BWAHAHAHAHA ... er... I mean... Painter is a
great program, especially with tablet. ^_____^

Fei Fong Wong of Xenogears
" Fukei "
Artwork by Laura
Comments: A pic of Fei doing Fukei, one of his deathblows. I think
this is one of the more action oriented drawings I've done in a long time.
The style is also slightly different from my norm (the face is kinda anime
looking). It didn't turn out exactly as I had envisioned, but it's pretty
close...

Terra Branford of Final Fantasy VI
" The Powers of Terra "
Artwork by Laura
Comments: Well, after looking back at some of my older pictures of
girls/women I came to the conclusion that I should practice the female figure
some. So basically that's why I did this pic....I chose to draw Terra cause
she was always one of my fav characters in Final Fantasy 3. And the
background just started out as some colors that I splashed on a paper which I
then swirled around. I actually sorta like the effect I guess the floating
balls of light and the swirls represent her powers or something :)

Palom of Mysidia of Final Fantasy IV
" The Genius of Mysidia "
Artwork by Arion McBride (Artist of the Week)
Comments: When i started it, I was going to
do both the twins in one picture but it turned out better to do them
seperatly. Porom is still in her preliminary stages. Anyways, i know this
aint exactly well anything like square's drawing so its not really accurate,
but what the hey i drew him cooler. Its better than a lil punk in pajama's
right. then i stuck him in a nice lil background i found which took forever
to edit, and I do mean forever... (a lot longer than the actual pic) and if
its a lil cheesy looking, be patient it's my first time using photoshop and
eye candy in collaboration with paint shop pro, gimme a bit to get familiar
with em an i'll put out better stuff ^_^;

Vincent Valentine of Final Fantasy VII
" Let Me Sleep "
Artwork by GlassShard
Comments: Not sure why I drew this other than it seemed like a cool idea and I love to draw Vincent. It was done on a piece of typewriter paper with mechanical
pencil; one of those drawings that starts out as a doodle but then three
hours later, it's turned into this graphite monster ^_^ I was going for a
misty, ethereal sort of quality, and wanted to get the whole light breaking
into the crypt thing. Don't know if I pulled it off, but que sera sera...

Squall Leonhart of Final Fantasy VIII
" Portrait of a Hero? "
Artwork by Maggie Bradshaw
Comments: I'm really getting used to this
CG thing! Here's another one I did of Squall Lionheart from the upcomming
Final Fantasy 8, I love the designs of the characters in this game, so I'm
hoping to have pics of other characters comming up soon!

Nall of Lunar: Silver Star Story Complete
" Nall "
Artwork by Natalie Goodridge
Comments: Nall turned out more like a puppy than a cat in this one, but I still
love it. I've drawn him anime-style before several times, but I decided
to try something different, and I like this attempt the best. His second
form, on the right, is a bit of a spoiler -- but who couldn't have told
by watching the intro movie alone? I used watercolors in this, both in
squeezie-tube and pencil form, as well as ink to make the outlines more
pronounced. ^_^

Kahran Ramsus and Miang Hawwa of Xenogears
" Stitches "
Artwork by Sairobi
Comments: At this point, I actually *enjoy* drawing the elements' uniforms. I don't think it's very healthy. Heee. Anyway, this is actually a gift for my partner
in crime and part time muse, the Lady Chessidy. (Yeah, I know, rather morbid
gift at that...) It took a fair chunk of my time--tho, thanks to my trusty
bottom of the line scanner, you can never tell. :-)

Kefka of The Final Fantasy VI
" SD Kefka Flapping the Finger "
Artwork by J.J. McCullough
Comments: Noticing how Kefka looks so radically
different in out of battle mode compared to when you
fight him, I decided to draw a picture of him using
only the the out of battle sprite as refernce. I think
this picture highlights the goofy side of Kefka with
the cartoony style I did it in. Drawn freehand, scanned
and colored in photoshop.
