After playing FFTA2, I thought the artists poured a lot of detail and an interesting and vivid style into their character designs. I was inspired and did a crossover of FFXIII's Lightning into the FFTA2 style. Kinda like how Cloud, Balthier, Penelo and Vaan get stumbled across in the games.

There used to be this FFVII Sephiroth fanpage that had a fanart featuring Sephiroth holding a baby Cloud. I had a weird inspiration to do a piece similar to it so I 'updated' it and decided to feature Fang and Lightning for no reason. Since Fang is technically the oldest character in the game, Lightning woulda been an infant compared to her (although Hope's much younger but I didn't like him in-game so that's why I used Lightning instead).

Since Lightning is supposed to be a "female version" of Cloud, I thought it would be fun to have them swap outfits! except I kept Lightning in a skirt...'cause it's sexier, lol. and kept Cloud in pants for the sake of decency [even though he's used to cross dressing n.n]. Maybe I'll draw them in their respective outfits eventually, lol.
