Cross-overs
Welcome once again to Fan Art dear readers. Let's jump into the art right away - I've got quite a lot of things to do today. Featured today is Jackson Ferrell's latest submission, Prinny Link. If the Zelda series were to be remade with animals, I'm pretty sure it would look like this. Well, maybe not, but that'd be funny. The artist even included Navi, the annoying Prinny. The palette works very well in this picture, and so do the textures. Mixing fiction with reality can produce funny and interesting results, like in this next submission. I like the line art, especially the book and the face. Unfortunately the brand name on the cup is kind of lost in the color, so it's a bit harder to see. Leaving the text white would have helped a lot in this situation. The perspective on the face looks good, but the body is too stiff for the head to be placed like this. Comics have been pretty popular recently, and there's no problem with that. Now some of you might have noticed that every new comic I've received doesn't go under Comics Corner. I consider those submissions to be regular drawings, using the comic format as a medium. However, if you plan on doing a continuing series out of your comics, then please let me know so I can open a new comic page for it - I've been waiting for that, so don't hesitate. RyleArron made his first mistake when he tried to understand women. But fortunately, this experience led to a nice little comic piece. Sometimes changes can be good, and some other times you just wish everything stayed the same. Make sure to read this. Newcomer The Apocrypha sent me this drawing depicting the scene when Kefka threatens Edgar at Figaro Castle. I like this interpretation a lot - I would have never thought of Kefka that way, but it somehow works. The lines are good, but Kefka's hand gets lost in Edgar's body. Maybe some variation in the lines' width or some shading would help the piece's ability to be comprehended. Jerry Gallen's latest submission is inspired by pop artist Andy Warhol. Can anyone see the reference here? I sure do. I think the theme lends itself quite well to that famous piece, since the slimes already come in different colors throughout the game series. I like the silver one, because its big eye gives it a crazy look. The overall piece is quite good, but I'm not sure I'd have chosen black for the blue slime's background. That is all for this week's regular updates. A new chapter is beginning in the Final Fantasy 6 Comic, which reminds me that I have made a big mistake over the past year. I've never included chapter three anywhere. This will be fixed as soon as possible, though the change will only be visible in the comic's update page. Before wrapping this up, I'd like to inform new readers and remind veterans that Fan Art is accepting wallpaper submissions, so do not hesitate to send them. Just make it clear that you are sending in a wallpaper and not a regular submission. Thank you for reading and send in more art!
