Welcome to 2010 dear readers! I know I have lots to do this year, but I am confident I can do everything. I still need to update the fan art archives, though, and this will take some time after all those updates. I have started Dragon Age and am really enjoying it a lot. Actually, I might continue right after posting this. So let's not waste any precious time and get on with it.

Featured this week is ShadesOfCerulean's Link piece portraying the hero of Hyrule kneeling in front of a stone wall. The textures and shading are quite impressive in this detailed piece. There is a lot to look at. If anything, I'd say the lower part of the body looks a bit large compared to the upper part, but otherwise I think this is wonderful.

Like me, you are probably happy to see this new piece by Dice. CHRONO TRIGGER - Tribute is rather cartoony, but the characters are so cute it looks like they were designed that way. It reminds me of one of DICE's older pieces. Very beautiful.

Jerry Gallen, who you might know from his reviews posted in the Points of View column, sent me this colorful submission from Tales of the Abyss. I'm not familiar with this game - let alone the character - but the bright colors DO give the piece a joyful feeling! If I could suggest something to the artist, I'd say to try and play a little with the lines' width a bit more to better define the different elements.

Well, this is it for this first week of the year. Unfortunately, it really is over, because there are no comics today. In the following weeks I'll be preparing a special 2009 edition for you, but I have no idea when it will be posted. Probably the first week without a submission. Have a good week, and take care.
