Dead Fishie
Dissidia: Final Fantasy
Comics Corner
Pleonasm
Hello dear readers! Just because we didn't have a column for more than two weeks doesn't mean we can't have one this time around. As usual, I haven't played anything at all during these last weeks, but I've been working on my school stuff and my animation contract a lot, and although I keep on complaining, I must admit I'm having a lot of fun doing all that. Hopefully it will pay off later, too. Let's have a look at this week's art now. Dead Fishie has sent me two pieces since the last update, both from Dissidia: Final Fantasy; the first one portrays the Cloud of Darkness, while the other one features the Onion Knight, both from Final Fantasy III. I like the composition in the Cloud of Darkness picture and all the movement. The only weird thing is that she looks quite happy, and we rarely see that with villains. There's much less movement in the Onion's Knight's picture, but the composition still works. The thing on the right gets confusing, though, and it's hard to tell what it is. I usually like some shading in the submissions, but the flat colors here seem to work fine. Another character that's included in Dissidia, Sephiroth by Junior Mclean is done with Poser. I didn't know what Poser was exactly, but after a quick internet search, it looks like it is some kind of 3D software. Of course it really looks like Sephiroth, so good job here. The face looks like someone else, though, like if someone was cosplaying. The colors in the background are interesting, but it might be too much. Thank you for the submission! Well thank you for reading once again, my friends. This week the comics are back with our friends from Final Fantasy VI. Kefka is mad at Edgar for escaping with Terra and sends Magitek Armored soldiers against them. Orinocou put what is probably my favorite line in the comic so far: 'Kill them all 'til they're dead!' Thank you once again, and please send in some art!
