Crisis Core - Final Fantasy VII

Update #34
Hello, Fan Art fans! I still don't have decent internet access, so updating the column is a pain. I feared the worst for this week's column, but thankfully I received a few submissions, so we have what we could consider a full update. Nothing much happened this week, so I'll just cut this intro short and go on with interesting stuff. Cstrife returns this week with a new Crisis Core submission. This is one colorful drawing! Just look at the characters and the background. The character positioning is dynamic enough, as well as their pose. The image is well-contrasted, but I think it's a bit blurred at some places. Maybe having some more well-defined lines would help prevent that. If you wanted to see some fighting action, Wave has just the thing for you! Many characters are fighting each other in this massive drawing. There is a lot of interesting stuff to look at here, so take your time exploring the picture, from Sora's right hand in the front, to the nicely detailed city in the background. Who likes chocobos? Everyone, right? Well look at what Orinocou has made out of her talented hands. Apparently, our favorite Final Fantasy VI Comic artist also has some ability for sewing and hand-crafting nice-looking chocobo plushies. Aren't they adorable? Newcomer I.Dias sends a first submission of a seldom represented series in this column, Shining Force. This is a good looking-picture, with a nice dosing of vivid versus muted colors, although it does look a bit flat. Maybe some shading here and there would give more volume to the shapes. Welcome to Fan Art, I.Dias and please send more art! This is it for today! In this week's comic, Terra explores the castle and learns about Edgar's past. For next week, artists should make sure to send more art, while readers should comment on the different submissions in the message boards. Thank you for your readership, and see you next week!
