Hello dear readers! Let me tell you I've had one of the worst evenings since a long time. My Super Nintendo died, my food cooled down before I got the chance to eat it, I spilled my drink on the ground, and some other things happened, I think. Anyway, the game that progressed the most this week is Rondo of Swords, in which I have advanced several stages. It will soon be finished. Featured this week is Andromeda's Persona 4 piece, Heaven, portraying Nanako Dojima and Souji Seta. The pastel colors give the drawing a dreamy feel and the angle makes it rather dynamic. This is a very peaceful piece. Sentou Ryoku sent in the first Dragon Quest V fan art to grace the site. A humoristic piece, it features two characters from the game in a weird situation. WHAT is he looking at anyway? The artist stays true to the original art's style and mimics pretty well. I don't know about you readers, but I've been waiting for another of Wave's submissions. This one is from Xenogears, featuring Emeralda. Wave seems to like to draw characters that are falling, and can draw it well. You can imagine the movement without actually seeing it, which is a good plus in a static drawing. Newcomer BJWitts sent in a submission for the Blue Dragon+ contest last week. It is very simple but works really well. It is a rather cartoony piece and the thick black lines and colorful palette make it an interesting picture to look at. The circle in the background gives the drawing some presence in the overall composition. TomR sent in another one of his very pictural pieces, this time with more than a hint of colors. Indeed, it is easier to read the picture in its entirety than it was on the last one. What I like with his style is that it is very gestural and thus make every drawing come alive. You can feel the brush strokes just by looking at them. This is it for this week, everyone! Some more humor in the comics, and Locke and Terra continue their trip to Figaro Castle. They should be there by next week, so make sure you don't miss next column! While you are waiting, please post your impressions of this week's fabulous fan art! Oh! And don't forget I'm accepting wallpapers! Don't hesitate to send them to me!
