This round's subject is: Memory of a Tragedy

Yes, Memory of a Tragedy. It's fairly common for some sort of major tragedy to occur in RPGs. Some are worse than others, but they often have a profound impact on the game as a whole, or at least on one or more characters. Please select a tragic event that occurred in an RPG and use it as the focal point for your piece. However! One important thing to note...

Though your piece will be based heavily on a tragedy of some sort, it does not have to be sad! Often times, tragedy can inspire courage and heroics. On the other side of the spectrum, it can also lead to revenge. Many villains go through this sort of thing as well. These are just examples. There are many other options too.

Whatever you select, you'll still need to work the tragedy itself in, somehow. Don't just skip straight to what happens next. Remember, we do accept comics, animated movies, etc. if you would like to go that route, but it isn't necessary.

This is the final round, so I've made sure there are a lot of interesting directions that you can go with this, and there is a wide variety of emotions to choose from. Be creative! The deadline is July 17th at 11:59pm Pacific time, so you have plenty of time. Only the six winners of the semifinals can win prizes, but anyone can enter for fun. Good Luck!
