My fiancee and I have been struggling to figure out some way to include at least a minimal RPG reference in our wedding or reception. We tried finding a decent song, but our church is a bit iffy on secular music, and you don't get much more secular than RPG soundtracks! We thought about picking out a song to dance to at the reception, but our top picks were either way too slow or way too Japanese and only three or four guests would "get it." So with only three weeks left until the big day, we had just about given up on RPGing our wedding when I happened upon a lovely page of videogame fonts.

Now the question I pose to you, readers and artists, is this:

1. Zelda Program 2. Lord of the Rings Program 3. Standard Script Program

(1. Zelda: Ocarina of Time, 2. Lord of the Rings, 3. Standard Script)

Let us know what you think our wedding program should look like by voting in the poll included in this week's Fan Art forum thread! Or maybe you have a better idea for a font. If so, let us know!

  1. This Week. Enough wedding talk; let's get to the art! Starting things off this week are a pair of Shadow Hearts pieces by the very talented Blue Sapphirez and Fluttersquee. HokutenKnight is back with the next Vierra--a vibrant red mage you won't soon forget. We also have another hilarious comic from the Fire Emblem series by Kenton Alkemi. Myaah sends in a gorgeous portrait of Zelda and Link, while noa captures a beautiful scene featuring Serge and Kid. Rachel York starts a new series of Suikoden 3 portraits with an incredible Geddoe. The Tales of Symphonia movement is still going strong with another terrific entry by Shigeru, and what would a fan art update be without another fantastic Xenosaga piece by shojokakumeii00? Wyna Hiros may be alphabetically last this week, but she is certainly up at the top with her amazing summoner Yuna.

  2. New Design? Please? With our plans to hire a new designer in the very near future, the new design may be delayed a bit longer in order for that lucky and talented individual to best determine how Fan Art's design should work into the grand RPGamer design scheme.

  3. OmniArt 2005 Round Six! Your last chance to lock in a berth in the finals of OmniArt 2005 starts next week with the opening of Round Six! Following the selection of Round Six's winners, we'll also be picking three wildcards who didn't place in any round but made an impressive showing nonetheless throughout the competition. Oh, and in case you were wondering, the Grand Prize now stands at $548. Remember, the final value of the jackpot will be determined by how many contest entries we receive by the end of Round Six. We've been adding one dollar for each entry received since Round Four, and we'll go up to a maximum of $750 (assuming we somehow get 202 qualifying entries for the final round).

Wedding planning is hard, but even with all the work we still have left to do, there's always time for your weekly Fan Art fix! So check back next week as we open the next contest round and present another fine assortment of fan art from your favorite RPGs.
