At E3 this year, three major consoles were announced along with specifications and important information. In this article we will feature the PlayStation 3 from Sony.

The PlayStation 3 will be using the RSX processor from NVIDIA, as well as Blu-ray Discs which will allow a maximum of 54 GB dual layer storage. According to the Sony press release, the 2 teraflops of processing power will "elevate the freedom of play" for games and allow "new, exciting expressions". The 1080p resolution supported by the PlayStation 3 is currently the highest standard in high definition viewing.
