Putting out a product always presents a particularly unique problem; at some point in time, the public will expect a newer and better version of the product, and it's not always easy to deliver on that expectation. Thankfully for Bioware, this doesn't seem to be a problem with Neverwinter Nights. The first installment left players gasping for more, as the game had an unusually deep and entertaining storyline for a PC RPG.
Shadows of Undrentide does not introduce any additional levels to the character. What it does do, however, is introduce an entirely new storyline to follow with the Neverwinter Nights engine, starting again from the beginning. Additions have been made, in the form of enemies and various new tilesets.
Overall, the game looks very good, if you're looking for more of the same elements that made Neverwinter Nights such a fantastic game. Bioware has put more thought into the story and interaction this time around, and the game is more than worthy of play.
