The two Castlevania games on the Nintendo 64 might have scared you away from 3D Castlevania games but this one is a real gem. The game feels a lot like Devil May Cry, with fixed camera angles, enemy spawns, puzzles, and familiar-feeling boss rooms. The combo system is very simple; just push the button repeatedly, and the combo goes.

The game is very enjoyable, but even so, I would suggest that whether you are a Castlevania fan or not, try it before you buy it when it does become available. I have lots of mixed thoughts on it, and the spectre of those N64 entries is still hanging over this one. Still, my personal opinion is that this will be a great addition to the Castlevania collection and to anyone's game library.
