What you are about to see is an impression done by a Fallout fan. One who played the orignal for countless hours... then graduated to the sequel for countless more hours. In other words... I'm biased.
HOWEVER, that doesn't mean I'm going to praise this game! Ohhoooooo no. This game currently is a disgrace to the series. If the developers don't change it in any way, then screw it, it can burn. In the demo, Vivendi Universal seems to have shed the classic turn/grid based system completely... in favor of third person "run-'n-gun, bubba!" system. Sprint toward your foes and fill them full of lead as quickly as you can fire your gun. They even give you a lock-on button to make it easier. What the hell? I thought this was supposed to be an RPG, not a "I shoot you in your face before you can burn mine to a crisp" game. Very disappointing.
Sure, the game had some dodging moves, the classic variety of weapons, and a level-up system... but that can't save it at this point. Nuh uh. Give me some decent gameplay, damnit, and I'll look at it again. Its currently pitiful and uninspired shooting spree action does not make a good game.
