In Lord Bahamut's editorial, he went into detail about what he found was wrong with the recent Final Fantasies. I think it's fine then if I write what I see is wrong with his logic.
FF6- He goes into how their isn't a set leader or main character., I for one find that a strong point of the game and will leave it at that. His next point though is about how strong Kefka is. Now, Kefka can be taken down with just 3 commands, but can I ask how did you find this out? I mean if you just play this game, without any help, chances are the first time you get to Kefka he will stomp you. (That is unless you prepare throughly for it.) And let us not confuse ruthlessness for strength.
FF7- Most of his problems with this game stem from the fact he didn't like or understand the story; or he didn't care for it. It would just be a waste of time to repeat what he said and emphasize that it is supposed to be like that.
FF8- I have to admit right up, I have yet to finish FF8, so I'll do my best with what I know. Well (from what I remember, anyway) Squall was more introverted than anything; he wasn't a jerk in-so-much he just didn't show he cared. Which, from what I understood, was the reason for so much internal dialogue. I do admit the final battle can be annoying, but it just goes back to the same premise of FF6 (Although you got to choose your order there). And don't confuse blatant screwups with things about the game you don't like.
