Since the inception of the internet, people have complained that companies don't listen to them and aren't hearing them. There would be a reason for that, they have a deaf ear for anything E. How much effort does it take to send an E-mail? How hard is it to get an on-line petition started? If you really want to be heard write a snail mail letter. My communications teacher once told me a company looks at snail mail as equaling 10'000 people. SO if you really want squaresoft to stop putting Cid in the games then write a letter, get you friends to write letters. I am sure some are saying that that is utter Chocobo droppings, and I have to say this, do you read every piece of E-mail you get? No? I didn't think so, but I am sure you read every piece of or at least open every piece of snail mail you get. Another way to look at it is this, what looks more imposing a thousand E-mails, or a thousand web petitions or 3 bag fulls of hate-mail? People also say that you can refuse to buy something as a way for your voice to be heard, unless you have alot of friends I doubt that would work. FF8 sold upwards of 1 million copies in the US alone, do you think 49 dollars is gonna make a big difference to 49 million? Hell no. SO follow my advice and send them some snail mail. Afterward: Some would say that the fan reation to FF 8 is what caused all the returns (the crystals.. etc) in FF 9, but wasn't 9 in production before 8 even came out? |
