Ok, so things have slowed down a little. After my shock Q&A appearence [Yes, Googleshng thought it as a great birthday present.] I'm winding down a little. Which is why this is about five hours late, but hey.
Since it is my birthday, I decided to take a few hours off and do something I thought I wouldn't do for a while... yeah, I did what no one expected me to... write an editorial. Then again, I didn't think today would be one of those easy to predict days. I didn't think I'd be doing Q&A, and I sure didn't expect it to be quiet either. I suppose I got the perfect birthday present. And the picture made for me was quite nice too. :)
Anyway, shall we look at the editorials? Well, there's a fair bit of Final Fantasy IX flying around, as well as a couple of viewpoints at the 'Old School- New School' Debates. We have Chrono Cross, more examination of FF4 (Cecil seems to be a hot topic for some reason...) and on the side we have a few viewpoints on how we see RPGs and where are they going.
Ok, for all those editorials that didn't make it up this week, I'll be writing letters to explain what didn't make it work. Don't worry, it's just really small things, like omitting a point, making a misconception, presenting things in an ambigious way and little stuff like that which can make things fairly confusing.
It seems that things are winding down just a little... but Persona 2 just come out and there's so much controversy, rumour and scandal that most royalty intrigues seem like children's storybooks. (All, right, I exaggerate a tad, but with Enix scoring big in Japan, Microsoft doing backflips on the X-box and Nintendo giving out developers kits among other things, I couldn't call it boring.) And there's all these OTHER things you can write about... There's SoA, Persona, Lunar 2... I'd love to see them crop up. :)
Anyway, since it's my birthday, I've basically declared it a national holiday for eds... nah, only kidding. It is the holdiay season, so most work has been sidelined for some fun. I know I should be doing something, but can't I have a couple of days off too? Don't worry, next week will swing back into the normal schedule.
Well, enjoy the rest of your break, and have fun writng eds for the new year! I hope that the rest of the holiday season will be good for you, and editorials will make it feel even better. And hey, a party on the side for New Year's couldn't hurt either.
PS: Well, I DID do something... I'm standarising the code for spoilers, which will be nice, large and red, and are now included in the templates. I highly recommend you update the ones you got [if you use them] now.
And another note, I finally got to the bottom of this backlog of Editorials, with just 3 I need to get some corrections done before acceptence. Just if you're interested.
