Well, the holidays are just around the corner and I'm preparing myself to visit the vastness of Northern Ontario. I will be running away for two weeks to the land of ice and snow, visiting my boyfriend's family. I'm going to be experiencing a real Canadian winter considering Toronto winter's are pathetic to where I will be heading. You know, I love how we in Toronto feel that we have the absolute right to complain about everything and believe that people actually care about us. Then I forget that according to How to Be a Canadian that Torontoians believe they are the center of the universe.
Any ways... introductions. My name is Sam, and I will be taking over Editorials! While I'm a bit new at this, I hope to do a decent job. See? That counts as an introduction!
On the gaming front I have been playing a lot of Persona 3: FES, and I think this game is absolutely fantastic. I've also been playing Shadow Hearts: Convenant on and off, although I can easily see Persona 3 easily winning my attention for the sole fact that I want to date all the girls and I am not far enough to have any girls be madly in love with me. My poor silent protagonist! So unloved by the ladies! And on the hand held front, I just finished Pokemon Ranger: Shadows of Almia on the weekend and its so much fun. I have a Turtwig. Turtwig makes me happy!
This week I have decided to rerun an article back from Q3 by staffer Glenn Wilson. I thought it was an appropriate article considering the end of 2008 is upon us, and the fact that next week begins the holiday season. Is there any games anyone is hoping to get? And article the second comes from myself and its a look at how even RPGs have mindless qualities to them. With the holidays approaching next week and me on vacation there will be no column next week, and the week after, I hope one of my loving colleagues will take over, and then the week of the 4th I will make my grand return with some new topics for 2009. As always please submit, as I am always looking for fantastic pieces from our audience. If you have anything up for debate, or you just want to send a musing, please submit! Pretty please? With gingerbread men on top?
Happy Holidays everyone!
