Hidey-ho, and welcome to another edition of the Editorials column. You'll notice we're running a little behind this week and I'd like to apologize. Some of the copies came in later then I expected so it couldn't be proofed and readied in time for Monday. Hopefully, next week will be less chaotic.
So how was your Thanksgiving? Those of you who are Canadian are probably wondering why I asked you several months too late. But those of you in the good old USA are more than likely just going to belch in reply. According to the Food Network, our country eats 65 million pounds of turkey every T-day. That's a lot of poultry! I did my share though, putting in a sizable helping of the bird, as well as some of my girlfriend's fantastic stuffing and her spinach dip. Oh, and since I'm doing food shout-outs, I'll give props to her mother's cranberry mold too, because that stuff is fantasic!
So as you might gather from the last paragraph, I spent Thanksgiving with my girlfriend and her parents, eating them out of house and home. And the best part? By going to someone else's home for Thanksgiving dinner, I missed out on the dreaded phenomenon of leftover turkey. Some families (perhaps yours?) will be eating turkey sandwiches and turkey soup and turkey cheesecake for weeks, but I skipped out. I know a lot of people actually like eating nothing but turkey for the next three weeks after the big day, but I get sick of it after the second or third day in a row. So, it worked out great for me. I hope you enjoyed your holiday as much as I did.
And that brings us to this week's editorials. Once again I've got two heaping helpings, smothered with lots of tasty opinions and crunchy ideas. JuMeSyn writes in about a lesser-known leftover from the Gamecube that might find new life on the Wii: Skies of Arcadia. And Michael gives us his secret recipe for his method of playing RPGs. I bet there's nutmeg involved!
And as always, we welcome your secret recipes, opinions, rants, whatever!. If you have something to say about RPGs, the gaming industry in general, or just about anything else, write in to me at Editor@RPGamer.com, and your article will be up in lights for all to see! Well, by lights I mean our nifty HTML tables, but who's counting? So that's it until next week. See you later, alligators!
