I am simply amazed at the sheer length of FE: Radiant Dawn. I'm almost forty hours in, -not counting the time I've spent restarting levels- and I still have a big chunk of the game left. I suppose on one level I should be happy. I'm getting more bang for my buck, and in these dire times of economic crisis that's always a good thing. On the other hand, I want to beat the thing! Valkyria Chronicles is waiting for me! It stares at me while I sleep, whispering, "Play me...." On the other hand, I just finished the single player campaign of Resistance 2. It was fun but hard, and for all the wrong reasons. You'd think in a game full of mass scale battles, the enemy soldiers might aim at one of the other dozens of soldiers beside you! Alas, it isn't so.
Jared Prewitt returns this week with a piece about magic in gaming. He discusses it's role and the way certain games interpret and use it as a story telling device. JuMeSyn also pops in for a discussion of a certain anime series many of us might recognize and its position in the gaming world. Good stuff for you this week folks, so dig in like it's Thanksgiving! On that note, I hope you all have a happy Thanksgiving, and perhaps with family visiting we might all find a use for the dust gathering Wiis of ours.
