Editor's Comments: First he suggests that mutant reptiles would make a good RPG. This week it's a troop of cute girls in steampunk-esque suits of armor fighting demonic invaders? JuMeSyn ponders the possibility of a Sakura Taisen RPG being localized in the US.

Editor's Comments: RPG fans the world over rejoice! Square-Enix is finally bringing us the sequel to one of the most successful RPGs in SNES history. But will it be worth the long wait, or will CT2 be a disappointment to us all? Bryan shares his thoughts on the matter.

Editor's Comments: The first of a two part series, Michael takes a look at an MMO that started out strong just two years ago, and today is the biggest name in its genre. And no, it's not Hello Kitty Online World. Michael tells us why WoW is the king.

Hidey ho, RPGamers!
First and foremost, I'd like to apologize for the late update. Last
night my precious cable internet went poof on me, so that negated getting any kind of
work getting done. I thought I would die; losing my internet connection is like losing a limb! It's strange how quickly the internet has gone from being a geek-only computer fad to a near-necessity in just a few years. And not just any
internet, but broadband no less! I can remember my first modem, a trusty (and by
trusty I mean semi-defective) US Robotics 33.6kbps. I also remember the unholy
glee I had cradling my first 56k modem and thinking of the power I held in my
hands. Now, I'm griping if my connection speed is under 1mbps/sec! Wow, if it
weren't for Al Gore inventing the net, where would we all be? Well, I sure
wouldn't be posting this update, and you wouldn't be reading it. So thank
goodness for Saint Al of the Interwubs. (Editor's note: I know that famous blurb
of his was taken out of context, so please don't flood my inbox with
corrections!) Come to think of it, there'd be no Numa Numa or Chuck Norris jokes, either. Talk about your double-edged sword! Either way, I think the growth of the internet into a utility on par with electricity or telephone service is merely a matter of time.
This week doesn't have any snazzy themes, but that doesn't stop us from having
some fantastic articles! JuMeSyn brings us his feelings on a lesser-known RPG he'd like to see make the trip overseas to the US. Bryan cheers (and perhaps fears?) the potential of a sequel to Chrono Trigger. And finally, Michael graces us with the first in a two-part series about the king of online gaming.
That's all for this week, RPGamers. We'll be back to the same bat time, same bat channel next Monday!
