Editor's Comments:Gabe continues his dissertation on classic RPG cliches. In this issue: Japan, red shirts, and the land of happy trees, with the bush in the corner that's our little secret. And if you tell anyone that bush is there, I will find you and I will cut you.

Editor's Comments:Industry, you got some 'splainin' to do! Snyder wants to know where the new RPGs went, and, if it's to the next generation, whether we can expect something really special. I suggest you tell him, he can kill a man with a straw wrapper.

Editor's Comments:It's an observation on old school, new school, and why the debate doesn't exist for Nintendo. It says it right there, there's not a lot else I can add. Basically, the more things change, the more things stay the same. Or something. I dunno, give it read, it's nice to chew on.

Editor's Comments:Behold, the bishie; enigmatic, mysterious, and - above all else - pretty. Newcomer Sonja Kruk helpfully categorizes these critters for future identification. Hey, knowing whether the long-haired guy in the cloak is going to buy you dinner or cut you in half is helpful, need-to-know information.

Editor's Words

I like it when a girl's up front about things, like their desire for monetary gain. Helps speed things along XD

At long last, we have us some eds, and what a selection indeed! Snyder is the sole staffer this time around, with an open letter to the industry - and, perhaps, even The Man himself - asking where the new blood is. Carmine and Gabriel move on up a grade this time around, Carmine to Mythril and Gabe to Gold; congrats, you two, enjoy our tray of congratulatory croutons. Mr. Red takes a Nintendo-centric angle on the old-school/new-school thang, and Mr. Ang continues his analysis of long-accepted RPG Cliches. Last, but definitely not least, Sonja Kruk's debut editorial is a delightful read on the various strains of bishonen, the prettyboys we like to be, slay, drool over and write slash fanfics about. God bless you man-pretty, kooky bastards!

We're on our feet, but our backlog's still hurting, folks. Keep 'em coming, this is some great stuff, and it'd be nice to be set for the next couple of weeks. A man can only beg for so much before even fake sincerity requires too much effort. In an unrelated story, have I told you how great you look today? ^^

Already heard that one, huh? Ahh, you guys are all right. Anyway, thanks for tuning in, peruse the editorials at your leisure, thanks to all who've contributed, and once again, I urge all of you to submit your opinions in editorial form. Because anybody can whine about things on the internet. It takes pure, unrefined moxie to immortalize them.

Take it easy, y'all. And remember: video game characters are attractive for a reason!
