Do you like snow? Me, I love it. I'm from Pennsylvania originally, so I'm used
to having an actual winter once a year like clockwork. Especially from when I
lived in Pittsburgh, where we used to get some terrific snows. Since I moved
down to Virginia Beach though, I don't think the amount of snow we've gotten is
sufficient enough to even be measured. It's kind of depressing, because I
really, really love snow. I'm a Winter person myself, so I'm happiest when my
skin's turning blue. I think living in a beach resort town is probably a
tactical error on my part. Of course love does that. I moved here to live with
my girlfriend who goes to school here. And she's the total opposite of me,
climate wise. She has this odd obsession with the weather being so hot your skin
bursts into flames if you go out. Personally, I think she's crazy.
All of this comes up from a conversation I had at work today. I work for a major
cellular company in a call center that speaks to agents all over the US. One of
my regular callers is in West Virginia, and was talking about the snow they're
getting this week. It got me to thinking about how much I miss a good blizzard.
Mind you, the person I was speaking to wants to live here because it never
really snows. I think he's crazy, too. But that's just my opinion.
Speaking of opinions, today's editorials will be full of them! In honor of the
Ohio Valley area (and anywhere else) getting snowed in today, I'm
declaring my own snow day! JuMeSyn's making a Leonardo snowman (and we're not talking DaVinci here!) in honor of his
newest game idea. Bryan's back this week, taking shelter from the avalanche of changes sweeping across the gaming industry. Whispy spies the forecast, seeing a possible growing trend in RPGs that could really shake things up in the near future. And finally Michael watches the flakes fall and reconsiders his previous thoughts on the direction of one of the most popular RPG series ever made.
That's all for this week, RPGamers. See you next Monday!
