Death to the Peons! Mike Moehnke

Editorial Excerpt:

"When thinking of Earthbound, many unique aspects of the game come to mind. Its enormous North American box, the use of 'real' world locations, visible enemies on the map at a time when that was unexpected, and the creative choice of enemies to fight are all highlights of Earthbound."

That Familiar Feeling Sam Marchello

Editorial Excerpt:

"Over the summer I received a copy of Brave Story: New Traveler in the mail, and inside the case was a letter written by the previous owner. That person left me with kind words that made me believe Brave Story was going be something special."

From the Editor's Desk

Welcome to another week of RPGamer editorials. I am your host, Nyx, aka staff babe (Just kidding!). Since we last chatted I have completed Flower, Sun and Rain and I have declared it "Worst. Game. Ever." Normally I adore twisted plots, whether I'm reading a novel or playing a game, but this visual novel was just painful and the ending was such a disappointment. Nothing gets resolved. Nothing makes sense. My brain hurts. I really need to learn that when I'm not having fun I should put the game down and go on to to something more worth my time. I never seem to learn.

Anyway, this week it would seem JuMeSyn and I are back to win all your hearts... again. This week, JuMeSyn talks about one of my all-time favourite RPGs, and something I wholeheartedly agree with. My editorial this week ties into last week's, and is mainly focused on a letter I received back in the summer. I won't say much more than that.

This week is so busy, I'm wondering when I'll find a moment to game. Also, I'm getting impatient. I want Atelier Annie now. Only a few more weeks I guess...
