Midway upon the journey of our life
I found myself within a forest dark,
For the straightforward pathway had been lost.
Wow, I never thought I'd be back to do this again! However, MN is my friend, and I know as well that essays are quite important, so here I am.
For those who don't know me, I'm Scar (or Rob as some people call me...for some reason). It's been about a year since I left RPGamer to take care of things in my personal life, and I'm happy to say most of them have been dealt with.
Normally, this space would be used as a kind of catalyst for more writing to the section. However, since I'm only here for this week, I think I'll use this to just speak my mind about this section.
looks over at MN in the corner, glaring
Don't worry! Although I've been gone a year, I still look in when I can, as well as keeping in good contact with MN. Ever since Darien hosted this section, I've seen the quality of the writing going up, while the quantity has gone down. This is acceptable to me; I agree with the 'Quality over Quantity' philosophy.
This brings up a good point about gaming in general. Do you think that game companies should slow down development of their games, reducing the number of titles they sell, and instead make the quality of the games better? By this I mean in all respects. Everything from story writing to graphics to plain old programming. If you have a thought about it, write it down (then type it up), and send it in!
This week has a disappointing, regretting, minimalistic two editorials! turns Weakest Link off Remember, next week TSG will be hosting. For now, I shall recede into the woodwork. If you wish to find me, you can email me, or visit me at the Editorials IRC chatroom! Until then, tata!
