Tower (Major Spoilers) Gabriel Ang

Editorial Excerpt:

"A solid footing. If there's anything humans need in this world, it's that thing which a person is able to rely on whatever happens. This is the place where one bases one beliefs, hopes and emotions on in the best and worst of times."

Kingdom Hearts: Wasted Potential Fowl Sorcerous

Editorial Excerpt:

"Crossover video games are built on satisfying these pointless nerd debates. No one bought the first Kingdom Hearts game because they wanted to watch two twelve year old boys angst over each other; they bought it to see Donald Duck beat up Sephiroth..."

From the Editor's Desk

Dead Snow has been Oscar nominated by my friends and I for "Best Use Of Nazi Zombies In A Feature Film". Seriously, Tommy Wirkola was smoking some crazy drugs when he made this film. I wanted this movie to be terrible, and to an extent it did feel like it belonged in the "so bad it's good" category, but somehow the film went beyond my expectations. Also, I'm a wuss when it comes to horror movies. I think I've found the director to make my Operation Darkness adaptation. Notice I make this statement and Adriaan hasn't come after me with a pitchfork yet.

I can't say I've been gaming too much as of late considering how busy I've been. I played bits of Brave Story: New Traveler and Vanguard Bandits, but I've been reading a lot more again, and I ended up finishing two books and two comic books over the weekend. If you haven't read Atomic Robo, do so. It's a lot of fun and hey, it fits into this week's unintentional theme of World War II.

On the editorial front I've received two fan submissions in one week! Crazy, I know! Gabriel Ang returns this week with a new tarot piece, but be warned there are major spoilers in this one for Suikoden II. We also have a piece from a newcomer who goes by Fowl Sorcerous, who touches on Kingdom Hearts and its "wasted potential". However, to be fair, there's some good suggestions here. I'm not down with the soap opera known as Kingdom Hearts, since something about that series has always rubbed me the wrong way.

That's it for this week, and remember to stay away from outhouses – they smell and may or may not have Nazi zombies in them.
