It's a Living September 25, 2006

Editor's Comments: You've got your battles. You have your fancy super attacks, your spells, and your monsters. You even have an airship. What else does an RPG need? How about a plot? Jason relates to us the value of a good story.

Editor's Comments: Ah Saturn, we hardly knew ye. Once you were Sega's one great hope at keeping up with the console market, now you're a dinosaur. JuMeSyn gives us a rundown on the history of this underdog, and what went wrong.

Editor's Comments: Did you hear the latest? The Wii will have a toaster attachment and the PS3 will support Mac OSX! These and other rumors, both probable and impossible, keep us going between releases. Michael shares his feelings on the subject.

Editor's Comments: No one denies the power that is Square-Enix. To say they dominate the RPG market is an understatement. But why? And can anyone stand against them? Dallas gives us a little insight on what it takes to take down Square.

Editor's Words

Hidey-ho, RPGamers! Another Monday has come, and with it another installment of the Editorials column! It's been a pretty hectic week for me (a hectic month or two really!), as I'm in the process of trying to find a new job. The one I'm at now...well, it's not the worst thing I could be doing. But I could do better and I know it. It's so hard to get a decent job without a degree though. Let that be a lesson to those of you still in school: Stay there and don't ruin a good thing. Education is paramount, and all that rut. And saying all that, I realize how old I sound. It's like listening to my parents! Okay, that's a little scary. Moving on. Hopefully I'll find something better soon. Keep your fingers crossed!

In less personal news, our writers are hard at it this week with four more editorials. Jason's working 9-5 with an editorial on the importance of a solid storyline. JuMeSyn's pulling overtime with a piece on the long lost Sega Saturn. Meanwhile, Michael's in the mailroom, writing about the effect of rumors on RPGamers. Finally, Dallas hangs around the water cooler, regaling coworkers with the power of Square.
