Villainy and Philosophy I: Of Crime and Punishment
by Gabriel Ang
"In many RPGs as of late, the writers have given us very sympathetic villains who, in some way, do what they do because they believe they would be able to help the planet and it's inhabitants with it. Players might see the villain's way of saving the planet as unneeded and evil, but some of us get compelled to try to see it in the way of the main villain. "
There's black hole here too, you know?
by Diego Ferreira
"I'm always hearing that PAL gamers live in black hole, because there's never enough games being released. They don't know the luck they have. Well, let me tell you something, how about living in place where there's never a new game being released at all? Ok, maybe I'm exaggerating, but that's not too far from the truth and I will tell why."
The Final Final Fantasy?
by Eidolonslayer
"The Final Fantasy series has, through time, become synonymous with the RPG genre. With ten major installments spanning throughout console gaming history, the last four of which have been wildly successful, not to mention a number of spin-offs...there is quite simply no argument against this fact. So, as we in the U.S., or possibly Canada, look forward to Final Fantasy X-2's and Final Fantasy XI's North American release, not to mention eagerly stand by as Square Enix creates Final Fantasy XII, it becomes apparent that a question needs to be asked. Will Final Fantasy ever be, or really have, just that, a final, and strong emphasis on final, fantasy?"

Editor's Comments
I'm glad to see that this section is still going strong in spite of a short dry spell. This week we have three submissions. Gabriel Ang returns to Editorials by kicking off a four-part series on villainy and philosophy with "Of Crime and Punishment." The next three installments will follow in later updates, so be on the lookout for more of his work in the near future. Next, Diego Ferreira adds his own perspective on the state of international gaming in South America. And don't forget Eidolonslayer's own contribution regarding the direction of the Final Fantasy series.
Joseph will be back next week, so be sure to send him plenty of submissions!
