Editorials with JD | September 20, 1999

It's been a long winding road since I left many of you RPGamer readers. Well....only 11 days to be more precise. For those who haven't been reading the other sections here at RPGamer, I handled Q&A weekends and then the main event Q&A weekdays for, in total 5 months. To spare you all with the details, (Ask JD 9-09-99 for those who want to read it) in essence I'm back. I just couldn't stay away from the RPG world for too long, I suppose. And since this position is now vacated, since my good friend Brad is now handling Q&A due to my departure, I applied for this position. Since the editorials section is less hectic it will cater to my lack of time as well as the intent to do something interesting. The challenge of managing a new section to add to my repertoire of activities added the extra incentive. One of which, I hope will serve both you the readers and I well, in the comming months.

Since much of my Q&A in the past was an infusion hinted with editorialized overtones, well more than a hint really....I trust I should find this position quite nice. I'm very excited to be working on something new and it shall be a very interesting next few weeks.

Now that all that hullabaloo is over and done with let's get down to the nitty gritty shall we? With all the buzz surrounding the recent mega launches of the Dreamcast and Final Fantasy 8, the new touted PS2 revelations from the recent Sony Press Conference, and the looming Nintendo Dolphin waiting in the wings...I'm sure that these discussions will get a fair amount of attention from you readers. So send in your thoughts whether it be on the myriad of topics I've sort of outlined or whatever else is on your mind. I'm starting this section off with a clean slate since I actually asked for this spot on a whim really, and haven't really looked at all the nooks and crannies related to this position. In any event get your pencils and pens, er keyboards typing away. I'm sure at least one of you ;) will be able write a note worthy submission. Now Get to it!
