Style This, Stylus That Sam "Nyx" Marchello

Editorial Excerpt:

"But there's something that bothers me about the DS in relation to its wide variety of RPGs: are touch screen capabilities really that necessary?"

The Classics Stew Shearer

Editorial Excerpt: "Imagine for instance, games based around the works of Homer. Virgil's Aenid would make a great game, and I can only imagine the kinds of possibilities there could be if someone were to turn Dante's Infernor into an RPG. Anyone fancy a trip through hell?"

From the Editor's Desk

A day early this week. I hope you all don't mind. I finally beat Final Fantasy Tactics, and to celebrate I did the worst thing I could have possibly done. I... I went to Gamestop. After nearly two months without buying anything there, I caved in when I saw Mazes of Fate. I've developed a love for dungeon crawlers and had read not bad reviews of it. I know, I should be ashamed, but you not what? I don't care! I'm enjoying myself! Beyond that, the only other cool thing that's happened this week is Metallica releasing their new album which is astonishingly good considering how St. Anger turned out.

We have an ed from Sam "Nyx" Marchello and myself this week. Nyx questions the necessity of touch controls for DS RPGs while I muse about my desire for more games based in antiquity. I liked Nyx's a lot; he asks a lot of things I've pondered over myself, and I would recommend his wholeheartedly. Anywho, I hope everyone enjoys the column this week and finds themselves feeling the urge to write in. Now if you'll excuse I have to go buy a wig so I don't look quite as ridiculous when I headbang.
