Make me a Sammich! August 21, 2006

Editor's Comments: Don't you just hate it when the big burly tank in your party takes more effort to keep alive in a battle just because he is the big beefy tank? Derek does too, and he's here to tell us all about it.

Editor's Comments: Tunnels and castles and caves, oh my! Get out your torches and your maps, it's time to do a little deep delving into devious, deadly dungeons. What makes a good one? What earmarks a terrible one? Read and find out.

Editor's Comments: Man lives in the sunlit world of Final Fantasy, in what he believes to be reality. But there is, unseen by most, an underworld...a series that is just as real...but not as brightly lit! Josh has the exclusive scoop on the dark side of one of our favorite RPG series.

Editor's Comments: Michael confronts one of the worst problems to face the RPGamer community: So many games, so little time! With all the titles being released, playing any one through to to conclusion is tough. He even hands out a few helpful tips to spare you this dilemna.

Editor's Words

Honestly, I'm a sandwich kinda guy. There's something about a slab of dead animal and a slab of processed dairy curd thrown between two slabs of bread that really gets my mouth watering. I think I'd eat just about anything if you stuck if amid a couple sheets of Wonder white. And I could really, really kill for a cheesesteak right now. A real one. I'm from the Philly area originally, though I live in Virginia now. And try to get a real cheesesteak down here! Just try! A man could burst into tears, really. You wouldn't believe the abominations they try to throw on a roll down here. And not even a real roll! I understand them not having Amoroso's, but man...get me a real kaiser roll! Just talking about it gets me hungry.

So this week we have four tasty editorials delicately layered between two slices of marble rye with just enough spicy mustard to give it a little tang. Derek tells us about one of his pet peeves regarding healers in RPGs, I go on a bit about what makes a good dungeon, Josh shows us the side of Final Fantasy Square would never let PETA know about, and Mike takes time from his busy playing schedule to help the rest of us with ours.
